On Sunday morning, a sharp-eyed Orange County deputy was conducting extra patrols near a pharmacy that had been targeted by burglars several times over the past year, according to the O.C. Sheriff’s San Clemente Police Services.

While on patrol, the deputy spotted a suspicious truck in the parking lot and two individuals in possession of burglary tools. Acting swiftly, the deputy coordinated with additional patrol units and DUKE to successfully arrest both suspects.

Further investigation revealed that these individuals had also burglarized two pharmacies in San Juan Capistrano earlier that night.

Burglars target pharmacies in order to steal drugs and cash.

Kudos to the deputy for proactive police work, keen observation, and outstanding investigative insight!
