FOOTHILL 5, COSTA MESA 2: The Knights played two make-up games Thursday at the Great Park. In the second game, they rallied to defeat Costa Mesa. Tyler Hawkins got the win, pitching five innings, allowing two hits and striking out four. Patrick Quinn earned the save, striking out two in two innings.

Ezekiel Vargas and Garrett Davidson had two RBI each, Parker Sterton was 1 for 3 with a triple and two runs scored and Brian Harbour was 2 for 3 with an RBI and a stolen base to lead Foothill (14-5).

Troy Simmonds pitched 4 2/3 innings, allowing no earned runs and striking out seven for Costa Mesa (15-6). Isaiah Mamian was 1 for 3 with an RBI.

FOOTHILL 2, TRABUCO HILLS 1: Foothill earned a walk-off win in the opener. Adam Ujiie was the winning pitcher, striking out three in 1 2/3 innings. Gavin Lauridsen pitched five innings, striking out eight and allowing no earned runs. Mason Soufer was 2 for 3 with an RBI, Sean Green was 1 for 2 with a double and an RBI and Gavin Lauridsen was 1 for 3 with a double and a run scored.

YUCAIPA 4, EL MODENA 4 (8 innings): The game was called due to the time limit. Trevor Busby pitched six innings and struck out six for Yucaipa, coached by Ralph Grajeda, a former OC high school coach. Dorian Valencia worked out of a bases loaded one-out jam with a strikeout and a ground-ball out. Damien Cordero was 2 for 3 with a triple and two RBI for the Thunderbirds.

ORANGE COAST LEAGUE

ESTANCIA 18, ORANGE 1: The Eagles (16-4, 8-2) were led by Andrew Mits, who earned the win on the mound. Mits allowed one earned run in four innings and struck out six.

Sawyer Atkinson was 4 for 4 with two runs scored, four RBI and two doubles; Nico Viramontes was 3 for 3 with two runs scored, two RBI and a double and Miles Dodge was 2 for 3 with three runs scored, an RBI and two doubles.

FREEWAY LEAGUE

FULLERTON 9, SUNNY HILLS 2: The league-leading Indians (15-5-1, 4-0) completed a sweep of Sunny Hills Thursday. Noah Lee earned the win, throwing five innings and striking out two. Zach Fany was 3 for 5 with two runs scored and two RBI, Miguel Velasquez was 2 for 3 with a home run, two RBI and two runs scored and Malachi Meni was 2 for 4 with an RBI.

BUENA PARK 6, SONORA 3: Manuel Rivera got the win for the Coyotes, throwing a complete game to earn his seventh win of the season. He allowed three earned runs and struck out three. Ryan Prescott was 3 for 3 with a walk, RBI, two runs scored and a double, Alex Biancas was 2 for 4 with three RBI and a run scored and Greg Stoddard was 2 for 4 with an RBI.

Neil Navarro was 1 for 2 with an RBI, George De Avila was 1 for 3 with a run scored and Jesus Ramirez 1 for 2 with two runs scored and a walk.

Buena Park (16-2, 3-1) had its 13-game winning streak snapped Tuesday when Sonora won the opener of the series 3-2.

SUNSET WAVE LEAGUE

CORONA DEL MAR 1, MARINA 0: The Sea Kings (11-7, 2-1) were led by Stevie Jones, who threw a 1-hitter.
