Earlier this morning, Orange County deputies assigned to San Clemente Police Services responded to a theft in progress at a local construction site.

Thanks to a vigilant informant providing detailed information, the deputies quickly located the suspect vehicle as it was driving through the city.

Items recovered from Victorville thieves in San Clemente

Inside, they found two individuals from Victorville—one of whom was on probation for vandalism and grand theft.

A search of the vehicle uncovered thousands of dollars in suspected stolen property, burglary tools, lock-picking sets, master keys, a sawzall, and a detached catalytic converter.

Both suspects were arrested for attempted grand theft, conspiracy to commit a crime, and unlawful possession of a catalytic converter.

This is a great reminder to stay alert and report suspicious activity! If you see something, say something. Your vigilance helps keep our community safe.
