CRESTVIEW LEAGUE

CREAN LUTHERAN 62, CANYON 51: The Saints (10-9, 3-1) won their third straight league game. Hunter Caplan scored 14 points, Jacob Majok had 13 points and nine rebounds and Will Malual had 13 points and six rebounds to lead Crean Lutheran in the game Friday night at Crean Lutheran.

CYPRESS 72, FOOTHILL 65: The Centurions notched their first league win Friday night at home.

Cypress (15-9, 1-3) was led by Ryan Gov with 26 points and Grant Roberts who had 13 points. Jackson Houston and King Birdsong finished with nine points each. Cypress will host La Habra on Tuesday night.

“It was good to get the monkey off our back,” said Cypress Coach Derek Mitchell. “The guys followed the game plan to a T. We wanted to limit (Danny) Kennard’s shots and our guys did a great job being physical and playing straight up without fouling.  La Habra is going to be tough, but I’m excited to compete against Aaron (coach Riekenberg).”

Braden Davidson scored 16 points, Justice Linares had 14 points and four 3-pointers and Lorenzo Turner 12 points to lead Foothill (14-8, 1-2).

EMPIRE LEAGUE

TUSTIN 67, COSTA MESA 42: The Tillers won the league showdown in a game featuring two teams who were undefeated going in.

SANTA ANA 65, BUENA PARK 37: The Saints captured their second straight win.

PACIFIC COAST LEAGUE

IRVINE 46, NORWOOD 36: Cooper Stearns scored 16 points, grabbed 18 rebounds and had four assists to lead Irvine (20-2, 4-0) to the league win. Holden Stearns added nine points and three rebounds and Jalen Yim seven points and two assists.

WOODBRIDGE 52, UNIVERSITY 43: Woodbridge went on an 11-0 the first three minutes of the second half and held off University at home. Woodbridge (11-10, 2-2) had three players in double figures: senior forward Jason Briggs (15 points), junior point guard Jaiden Sabino (12 points, 10 in the second half) and sophomore guard Garrett Dicostanzo (14 points, 12 in the second half).

University (5-13, 2-2) was led by senior guards Isaac Evans (19 points, four 3-pointers and eight rebounds) and Shervin Moarrefian (12 points and two 3-pointers).

GROVE LEAGUE

ORANGE 44, SANTA ANA VALLEY 36: Junior Sebastian Nunez led Orange in scoring with 15 points. Junior Vic Ceja scored 10 and senior Mark Hernandez had eight points. We are now 2-2 in league play.

“This is the first time Orange has won back-to-back league games since May 19 and 20, in 2021,” said Coach Jacob Rhodes.

NORTH HILLS LEAGUE

BREA OLINDA 47, PACIFICA 40: Brea Olinda (12-11, 3-1) was led by Jackson and Tag who had 10 points each.

Esperanza 51, Sunny Hills 45 (2 OTS)

TRINITY LEAGUE

SANTA MARGARITA 86, SERVITE 54: The Eagles (17-3, 3-0) were led by Brayden Kyman, who had 21 points, 10 rebounds and five assists. Kaiden Bailey had 18 points and three 3-pointers, Drew Anderson 14 points and 10 rebounds and Dallas Washington 12 points, 11 rebounds and four assists.

MATER DEI 60, ORANGE LUTHERAN 56: The Monarchs (14-5, 2-1) were led by DeMarcus Henry, who had 18 points and four 3-pointers and Luke Barnett, who had 16 points.

FREEWAY LEAGUE

YORBA LINDA 55, SONORA 52: Yorba Linda (17-5, 4-0) was led by Rocco Gaffoglio, who had 19 points and Jordan Laws, who had 15 points. Jayden Barnes had 16 points and Landen Templeton 15 points to lead Sonora (7-15, 0-4).

VILLA PARK 76, TROY 56: The Spartans (15-8, 3-1) were led by Mal Johnson, who had 20 points and four 3-pointers. Dakari Harris had 19 points and eight rebounds, Sabeel Khan 10 points, four assists, three rebounds and two steals and Diego Perez six points and eight rebounds to lead the Spartans.

COAST LEAGUE

RANCHO ALAMITOS 70, SAVANNA 53: Rancho Alamitos (2-2 in league) was led by Inoke Malo, who had 18 points, 13 rebounds, seven assists and four blocks and Luis Rico, who had six 3-pointers. Osvaldo Ramos had 19 points and 14 rebounds for the Vaqueros. Savanna (3-1) suffered its first league loss.

SOUTH COAST LEAGUE

SAN CLEMENTE 60, TRABUCO HILLS 34: San Clemente (18-4, 3-0) was led by Chase Tolliver who had 16 points and 10 rebounds and Desi Gutierrez who had 15 points.

SAN JUAN HILLS 67, TESORO 25: The Stallions (16-7, 4-0) were led by Mason Hodges, who had 25 points in 22 minutes. Adam Aziz added 16 points and Orlando Castano nine points.

SEA VIEW LEAGUE

Capistrano Valley 58, Aliso Niguel 51

SUNSET LEAGUE

NEWPORT HARBOR 55, MARINA 53: Newport’s Jack Berry led all scorers with 16 points and also grabbed seven rebounds. Owen Saukkola had 14 points and eight rebounds and Gavin Guy six points and seven rebounds for Newport Harbor (15-7, 3-3).
