Orange County baseball highlights for Friday afternoon, March 22

ESTANCIA 4, ST. MARGARET’S 1: The Eagles (13-3, 5-1) notched an Orange Coast League win Friday. Andrew Mits (6-0) pitched a complete game, allowing one run (no earned) and four hits. He struck out 11. It was the 30th career win for Mits, a school record, according to Coach Nate Goellrich.

Mits was 2 for 3 with two runs scored and an RBI. Bennett Molica was 1 for 3 with an RBI, Cole Lefebvre was 1 for 3 with a run scored and a double and Sawyer Atkinson was 1 for 3 with a run scored.

The Eagles host Costa Mesa Tuesday at 3:15 p.m.

COSTA MESA 9, SANTA ANA 0: The league-leading Mustangs (13-3, 6-0) were led by Grady Jackson, who allowed three hits in six innings and struck out four. Omar Gutierrez was 3 for 4 with two runs scored and two RBI, Wylan Rottschafer was 2 for 3 with two runs scored and a double and Isaiah Mamian was 2 for 4 with a double and two RBI.

SERVITE 14, ST. JOHN BOSCO 5: The Friars notched a Trinity League win Friday. Talan Larson earned the win, allowing two hits in five innings. Jaden Liu had four RBI, Hayden Woodson three RBI and Daniel Troncale three RBI to lead the offensive attack.

TESORO 12, CAPO VALLEY 4: The Titans (8-3, 2-1) captured the series with the win. Tanner Tobias was 3 for 3 with a double and a home run and four RBI and Christian LaMothe was 2 for 3 with a double and two RBI.

SANTA MARGARITA 7, ORANGE LUTHERAN 6: The Eagles captured the Trinity League series with the win Friday. Warren Gravely was 3 for 3 with an RBI and Blake Ankrum was 1 for 3 with two RBI to lead the offense. Brennan Bauer pitched the first five innings allowing three earned runs. Chris Saucedo came on in relief to earn the win.
