Twenty-four high school softball teams begin competion on Saturday, March 26 at the Alan Dugard Classic presented by Woodbridge High at Bill Barber Park.
The teams are divided into eight, three-team pools. Play continues on Monday, March 28 and wraps up with the finals on Saturday, April 2.
The tournament is named after former long-time Woodbridge softball head coach Alan Dugard. Some games will be held at Deanna Manning Stadium and others on adjacent fields.
Opening round games on March 26:
8 a.m., Centennial vs. Laguna Hills, field three; JSerra vs. Northwood, field four.
8:15 a.m., La Serna vs. Irvine, stadium; Valencia of Valencia vs. Woodbridge, field two.
10:15 a.m., Capistrano Valley vs. Laguna Hills, field three; MLK vs. Northwood, field four.
10:30 a.m., Mira Costa vs. Irvine, stadium; Edison vs. Woodbridge, field two.
12:30 p.m., Capistrano Valley vs. Centennial, field three; MLK vs. JSerra, field four.
12:45 p.m., Mira Costa vs. La Serna, stadium; Edison vs. Valencia, field two.
2:45 p.m., Beckman vs. Peninsula, field three; Hart vs. Pasadena, field four.
3 p.m., Mater Dei vs. Newport Harbor, stadium; Valley View vs. Fountain Valley, field two.
5 p.m., Godinez vs. Peninsula, stadium; Brea Olinda vs. Pasadena, field four.
5:15 p.m., San Juan Hills vs. Newport Harbor, stadium; Long Beach Wilson vs. Fountain Valley, field two.
7:15 p.m., Godinez vs. Beckman, field three; Brea Olinda vs. Pasadena, field four.
7:30 p.m., San Juan Hills vs. Mater Dei, stadium; Long Beach Wilson vs. Valley View, field two.
