LSL is proud to announce Cheryl Orcutt, CPA, and Chad Smith, CPA, as the newest additions to the firm’s growing partnership group.
Orcutt has been promoted from Senior Tax Manager to Tax Partner at LSL. In her new role, she will continue to focus on expanding LSL’s healthcare niche while also serving a variety of closely held businesses, including those in real estate and professional services. Since joining LSL in 2015, Orcutt’s everyday goal has been to build lasting relationships and serve as a trusted advisor for her clients—whether by saving them money on taxes, providing guidance related to their businesses, or advocating on their behalf with the IRS, FTB, and other government agencies. She thrives on solving complex issues, addressing tough questions, and explaining tax matters in a way that’s clear and approachable.
Orcutt holds a BS in Business Administration, emphasis in Accounting from California State Polytechnic University, Pomona. She is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA) and the California Society of Certified Public Accountants (CalCPA).
Smith joined LSL in May 2023 as a Senior Manager, bringing with him extensive experience gained from serving clients across the country. He specializes in Construction, Manufacturing & Distribution and Non-Profits. At LSL, his role includes expanding the firm’s Orange County client base and enhancing services for existing clients. Smith finds the greatest satisfaction in building strong relationships and supporting his clients on their path to success. He is committed to continuous personal and professional growth, always striving to deliver lasting value.
Smith holds a BA in Accounting from Vanguard University of Southern California. He is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA) and the California Society of Certified Public Accountants (CalCPA).
