Buchanan Street Partners, a leading real estate investment management firm based in Newport Beach, California, is pleased to announce the addition of Ty Vilhauer as Vice President of Lending.
Vilhauer will be responsible for originating bridge and construction loans across the Western United States, supporting Buchanan’s continued growth in providing strategic, flexible capital to real estate operators and developers.
He brings experience from RRA Capital, where he focused on originating and underwriting bridge loans, and Newmark, where he advised sponsors on debt placement across various asset classes. This dual perspective provides him with a deep understanding of capital structuring and borrower needs, enabling efficient and effective execution. At Buchanan, he will focus on expanding the firm’s lending platform and building long-term relationships with best-in-class operators.

Outside of his professional work, Vilhauer serves on the Board of Directors for Hope Ignites Phoenix (Boys Hope Girls Hope), an organization focused on providing educational opportunities and mentorship for young people. He splits his time between Buchanan’s Newport Beach headquarters and Scottsdale, Arizona, and holds a bachelor’s degree from Washington State University.
