WHY: Grew up in Wyoming, where he knew he wanted to be an entrepreneur. Earned industrial engineering degree from Georgia Institute of Technology and an MBA degree from J.L. Kellogg Graduate School of Management, Northwestern University. In 2001, began building Synoptek. Made 10 acquisitions and had 750% growth from 2012 to 2022. Now 1,000+ employees. Provides cloud management, cybersecurity, IT management, and consulting. Company has won recognition from Inc. magazine, Deloitte and Microsoft.
NOTABLE: Stayed on as CEO after a majority share of Synoptek was purchased by private equity firm Quad-C Management of Virginia in 2022.
IN THE NEWS: Earlier in May, Synoptek announced Britt will step down from his role as CEO to become executive chairman, advising on strategic initiatives and business development. Salil Godika, previously CEO of Synoptek India, has been appointed as the new chief executive officer.
