WHY: Former controller for Costa Mesa-based restaurant chain Lazy Dog Restaurants, joined as CFO of Ecotrak in 2018, year it was founded. Became CEO in 2021. Software company helps restaurants, car washes, convenience stores and grocery stores automate repairs and maintenance work orders. 40K users. Clients include popular drive-through coffee chain Dutch Bros Inc. (NYSE: BROS), Texas Roadhouse and Flynn Restaurant Group, one of the biggest restaurant franchise operators in the country with a portfolio that includes brands such as Taco Bell, Panera Bread, Arby’s and Pizza Hut. Company’s software creates profiles for business’ equipment, from air conditioning to sinks and cooking appliances. When Ecotrak’s users report that a machine breaks, the software automatically notifies the company’s technicians.

IN THE NEWS: This year, Ecotrak unveiled a major rebrand following a year of more than 50% sales growth for the company. Nabbed new national clients like Popeyes, Sbarro, Swig and large Burger King operator, Carrols Corp. The Irvine-based company introduced new AI-powered tools that offer predictive insights to help teams reduce costs and optimize operations. The refreshed brand includes a new visual identity and redesigned website.
