Anna Lemkin (Mission Viejo Nadadores) is a diving world champion. At the end of the 14-15 girls 3-meter springboard competition, Lemkin stood atop the podium in her USA Diving warmups. Anna and her teammates are competing at The FINA Junior World Championships in Montreal, Canada.

Their coach, John Appleman was named the Head Coach of the USA Diving world team and is also the Nadadores Head Coach. Lemkin began the finals in second place but proved to be the most consistent diver with a final total of 344.75, which bettered her prelims score by 21 points. “We are SO proud of Anna. She fought for that gold and was solid in a great contest. She’s a wonderful representative for both USA Diving and the Mission Viejo Nadadores,” said Head Coach, John Appleman.

The last Nadador to win a Junior World title was Erica Sorgi, in 1997. Today’s gold medal is a shinier version of the bronze medal Anna also earned on the 10-meter platform just two days ago. For more information on the Mission Viejo Nadadores visit: missionviejonadadores.org.
