MeridianLink Inc., a Costa Mesa-based software provider for small banks and credit unions, said President Larry Katz will become chief executive, effective Oct. 1.

Current CEO Nicolaas Vlok plans to depart the post, while remaining on the board of directors  (NYSE: MLNK).

Katz joined MeridianLink in early 2024 as chief financial officer and was promoted to president later that year. Before MeridianLink, he held a range of leadership positions in strategy, sales, product, operations, and finance at StubHub, Genesys, JPMorgan Chase and Disney.

“Since joining MeridianLink as CFO and then taking the helm as President in 2024, Larry has been a close partner and critical leader, who has accelerated our progress and driven our evolution as the leading digital lending platform for community financial institutions,” Vlok said in a May 12 statement announcing the promotion. “He will continue to lead and accelerate our growth strategy and build on the trust placed in us by our customers, partners, and employees.”

Vlok joined MeridianLink as a board member in 2018 before being named CEO in late 2019. During his tenure as CEO, MeridianLink doubled its revenue from approximately $150 million in 2019 to $330 million at the midpoint of guidance for 2025.

Shares were little changed this week at $17.46 each and a $1.3 billion market cap.
