Meet Segerstrom Center’s New Creative Force, Limor Tomer

“Our education programs are the best kept secret in Orange County, so I’m super-excited to shine a light on that. And I’m also excited to continue bringing the world’s best ballet companies to O.C. and expanding our music programming.”

“I’ll be continuing the curatorial priorities of my predecessor, the legendary Judy Moore. She was all about excellence and world-class quality, such as bringing the very best of Broadway to our beloved theater so that people in Orange County never have to go to L.A. for a Broadway show.”

“I’m living in downtown Santa Ana, and it’s not as big a town as New York City, of course, but it kind of feels a little bit similar to me. You can walk everywhere, and I know my neighbors, and I love it so much. It just feels incredibly vibrant.”

“I’m interested in celebrating Henry Segerstrom’s legacy vis-à-vis public art. We’ve brought in an installation, a larger-than-life bronze sculpture by Karon Davis—“Curtain Call”—depicting a ballerina taking her final bow. It was just on the High Line in New York. I have a background in and love for visual arts, and it’s great to merge that with my love for performing arts.”
