Republican congressional candidate Scott Baugh (CA-47) has earned endorsements from the Mayors of Huntington Beach and Newport Beach, as well as Republicans serving the city councils in both cities.
Mayor Tony Strickland stated, “Scott’s commitment to the Huntington Beach community has been evident for the 32 years that he has lived in our great city.”
Mayor Strickland highlighted Scott’s involvement in helping our younger generation through chairmanship of non-profit groups such as the Gang Reduction Intervention Partnership that works with teachers, law enforcement and parents to keep kids out of gangs.
In his endorsement of Scott Baugh, Mayor Noah Blom noted Scott’s commitment to youth in training over 40,000 kids on the importance of exercise and nutrition through the Orange County Marathon Foundation. “Scott’s work in helping our next generation is a remarkable labor of love for Orange County,” said Mayor Blom.
In addition to the endorsements from Huntington Beach Mayor Tony Strickland and Newport Beach Mayor Noah Blom, Scott Baugh received the endorsements of Huntington Beach Councilmembers Pat Burns, Gracey Van der Mark and Casey McKeon and Newport Beach Councilmembers Joe Stapleton, Erik Weigand, Robyn Grant, Lauren Kleiman and Mayor Pro Tem Will O’Neill.
“I am honored that our local leaders, who serve closest to the people, have the confidence in me to represent this great district in Congress,” said Baugh.
