Mail in ballots drop Monday, May 9th for the June 7th primary election, in which California’s US Senate race will appear on the ballot twice.

“I want to remind voters that mail in ballots will begin to drop this coming Monday, May 9th for the pivotal June 7thPrimary and to fill in your ballots and mail them or drop them off at a designated drop box as soon as possible, and to do so before Tuesday, June 7th,” said Meuser. “The US Senate race that I’m running in will appear on the ballot twice. The first is for the new 6-year term that will start on January 3rd 2023. The second is for the remainder Kamala Harris’s current senate term, which expires on January 3rd.

“What voters should know is that Gavin Newsom’s appointed Senator is only in office until the November 8th election,” Meuser continued. “This is because of a court case that requires governors filling vacancies to put the remainder of the U.S. Senate term on the ballot. The second election, while only a short two-month term, is vital to ensure continual representation in the US Senate from election day onwards. It’s important for voters not to split their vote and maintain consistency in this upcoming election.”

Mark Meuser is the California Republican Party’s endorsed candidate for California’s US Senate Seat. Amongst his Republican opponents, Mark has the most name ID, has raised the most money according to FEC reports, and has spent the most time travelling the state talking to voters (has campaigned in 52 of California’s 58 counties so far). In addition, Mark has 47% favorability with Democrats according to a recent poll.
