September 9, 2022
Fraud/Forgery Report – 11:58 a.m. – 7792 Walker St. (La Palma Police Department) – An EBT card was reportedly used at a 7-11 in LA. Two transactions occurred on September 3. The reporting party was still in possession of the EBT card. The reporting party was advised to contact the Los Angeles Police Department or the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department.
Found Property – 1:47 p.m. – 5400 block of La Palma Ave. – A knife was reportedly found in the bushes behind the building. Report taken.
September 10, 2022
Welfare Check – 1:56 p.m. – 5600 block of Orangethorpe Ave. – The caller’s father-in-law was slurring his speech and the caller believed the subject may have had a stroke. Police responded and the subject advised similar, and his right arm was numb. OCFA was requested and responded. The subject was transported to the hospital by ambulance.
Suspicious Subject – 3:27 p.m. – 5600 block of Orangethorpe Ave. – The caller’s daughter’s ex-boyfriend was at the location in violation of a court order. The subject was located and detained. The caller’s back screen was broken, possibly the point of entry for the subject. The subject was not seen inside the apartment but was still in violation fo the court order. The reporting party desired prosecution for vandalism. The subject was arrested for giving a false ID to police, violation of court order, and vandalism.
September 11, 2022
Fire – 3:37 p.m. – 5900 block of La Palma Ave. – A possible fire was reported in the parking lot behind the business. The fire was put out and one subject was detained. there was damage from the fire to the side of the building. The subject was uncooperative and was arrested for obstruction/resisting an officer and for throwing burning material. The subject continued to unbuckle himself in the police unit after being rebuckled multiple times. An OCFA investigator responded to the scene.
Vandalism – 7:11 p.m. – 5400 block of Orangethorpe Ave. – A male subject reportedly broke a window on a truck. Police contacted the reporting party and the subject. OCFA was requested to respond for a laceration to the forearm. The subject was transported to the hospital by ambulance and arrested for vandalism.
September 12, 2022
Incident Report – 2:38 p.m. – 8100 block of Walker St. – Several students had reportedly received explicit photos and threatening messages over Instagram. Report taken.
Incident Report – 6:12 p.m. – 7800 block of Valley View St. – A car was on fire. No one was seen inside. OCFA responded. The vehicle was possibly an unreported stolen car as the ignition was punched. A fire investigator reported to the scene. Various law enforcement agencies attempted to locate the registered owner of the vehicle and eventually found the address in Long Beach. The vehicle was towed from the location and stored.
Incident Report – 6:14 p.m. – 5700 block of Fresca Dr. – The reporting party was worried that freight was stolen. The freight had been picked up in La Palma and was supposed to arrive in Texas by 6 p.m. today. The freight had not arrived. The reporting party would call back the following day if the freight was still not there.
September 13, 2022
Vehicle Check – 11:38 p.m. – 8400 block of Moody St. – No one was seen coming or going from the motorcycle. Long Beach Police stated that the registered owner reported it as stolen but had a formal report had not been taken yet. Orange County Sheriff’s Department sent a unit to Rossmoor for the owner of the license plate. The motorcycle was taken on a flatbed tow truck.

Pedestrian Check – 8:49 a.m. – Orangethorpe/Moody – Following a pedestrian check, a 40-year-old male subject was arrested for pedestrian in crosswalk delaying vehicles and giving a false ID to police.
Suspicious Subject – 7:00 p.m. – 4600 block of La Palma Ave. – A male subject was possibly attempting to open a vehicle. The male was now possibly hiding int he bushes near the entrance to Cheshire. Police contacted the subject, who was warned regarding warrants. The reporting party did not desire prosecution.
September 15 2022
Stray Animal – 8:19 p.m. – Rose/Iris – The reporting party was out with another subject attempting to catch a small dog. SEAACA was requested to respond. The dog was eventually caught and placed in a police unit. The dog was taken to the station and later released to the owner.
Stray Animal – 8:32 p.m. – Collins/Ivywood – The caller reported a stray husky that walked into Cental Park. The dog was collected from there. SEAACA notified. The dog had an ID chip and SEAACA would attempt to locate the owner. The dog was released to SEAACA.
