September 29, 2022
Disturbance (Subject) – 4:50 p.m. – 5400 block of La Palma Ave. – A male subject was reportedly begging for money around the business and refusing to leave. The subject took a bag of chips from the business and walked away. No prosecution was desired. Police were unable to locate the subject.
Hit and Run – 6:42 a.m. – Orangethorpe/Centerpointe – The reporting party advised that a bicyclist struck her vehicle, damaging it. Traffic collision report taken.
September 30, 2022
Patrol Check – 2:37 p.m. – 7821 Walker St. (Central Park) – The principal reportedly received information that a fight would occur at Central Park. A large crowd of juveniles was reportedly seen walking towards the park. Police were unable to locate any juveniles and the area checked okay.
Suspicious Subject – 8:34 p.m. – 7800 block of Barbi Ln. – An unknown subject reportedly walked near the window with a flashlight. The caller did not know if it was a suspicious subject or possibly a neighbor looking for a lost pet. Police located a postal carrier on Karen with a light on. The reporting party called back to advise that the unknown subject was the postal carrier.
October 1, 2022
Incident Report – 9:47 a.m. – 5300 block of La Palma Ave. – A resident claimed that a care manager hurt her left arm and was violent with her. The reporting party did not observe any injuries on the resident besides an old bruise. Police determined no crime. No harm was done and medics were not needed. There was possible dementia or medication issues. The same issue was reported earlier in the week with the same circumstances. The caregivers work in pairs and hadn’t worked with the resident since the previous week.
Disturbance (Subject) – 4:25 p.m. – 7700 block of Valley View St. – A subject reportedly had a knife in his belt and left in a black Nissan Altima. Police were unable to locate the subject on an area check. The reporting party advised that the subject did not commit a crime and the RP called 911 because hew as cussed at.
October 2, 2022
Fraud/Forgery Report – 5:47 p.m. – 5300 block of Orangethorpe Ave. – The caller reported that another bank account number was put in place of her own. It was unknown if this was a finance error. The loss at this time was a paycheck in the amount of $1,820.97.
Disturbance (Music) – 7:25 p.m. – 8600 block of Devon Cir. – The caller reported loud karaoke music outside. Police made contact with the homeowner, who advised that he would be turning it down.
October 3, 2022
Domestic Abuse – 2:01 a.m. – 7700 block of Valley View St. – The caller’s boyfriend reportedly threw carpet cleaner in the caller’s eyes. A 24-year-old male subject was arrested for inflicting corporal injury on a domestic partner and was transported to Orange County Jail.
Disturbance (Subject) – 6:13 p.m. – 4900 block of La Palma Ave. – A female subject was reportedly asking inf the business had an ATM, loitering in the area, and refusing to leave.
October 4, 2022
Indecent Exposure – 5:56 a.m. – 5000 block of Orangethorpe Ave. – A subject who had been panhandling was reportedly running naked through the parking lot. Police contacted other subjects in the area, who stated that the subject in question was fully clothed. Party advised and will comply.
Burglary Report – 5:08 p.m. – 5700 block of Thelma Ave. – The reporting party stated that the estate agent and/or realtor turned off the cameras. When the cameras were turned back on, items were found to be missing. The reporting party as advised to send an itemized list of the missing items. It was determined that there was a civil matter between the probate estate junk haulers and all involved regarding the property missing during the course of contract work for an estate sale. The parties were referred to small claims court regarding the contract and missing items.
October 5, 2022
Extra Patrol Checks – 8:08 a.m. – 5400 block of La Palma Ave. – The caller advised that there was a road rage incident and was afraid that the other subject would damage his vehicle. Extra patrol checks were requested int he area during the day.
Brandishing a Weapon – 11:12 a.m. – 5700 block of Fresca Dr. – The caller reported a subject with a handgun. The subject left the area in a blue Tesla. The incident was possibly related to a previous call regarding stolen property out of City of Industry that was pinging at the location. Police conducted a high-risk traffic stop and detained the driver at gunpoint. During a search of the vehicle, police located an empty pistol box, trigger lock, and two rifle optics. There was also a machete. The trunk also had some hidden compartments. The suspect was adamant that there was no firearm and the witness was making it up. The suspect later changed his story and admitted that the firearm was in the parking lot of a shipping business. The firearm was located behind a vehicle by a K9. Police arrested a 28-year-old subject for carrying a concealed weapon, criminal threats, concealed weapon in a vehicle, and brandishing a weapon. The subject was transported to Orange County Jail.
Counseling – 6:55 p.m. – 4500 block of Montecito Dr. – The caller requested counseling regarding tolls where the charge picture appears to have the caller’s license plate. The caller advised that he plates were not missing on the vehicle. The charges occurred in San Francisco. Counseled.
