May 12, 2022

Counseling – 7:38 p.m. – 5000 block of Juniper Cir. – The caller requested counseling regarding concerns for her mother and sister. The sister reportedly had a history of verbal and physical abuse, and the reporting party believed that the sister may break into the mother’s vacant residence. Counseled.

May 13, 2022

Disturbance (Subject) – 1:44 a.m. – 5400 block of Orangethorpe Ave. – A subject was reportedly hitting bartenders and other patrons. One party was bleeding from the nose and face but refused paramedics. No prosecution was desired. All parties involved were advised and sent on their way.
Vehicle Burglary Report – 9:48 a.m. – 8500 block of Via Tina – The ignition of a 2019 Hyundai Sonata was damaged. The loss was miscellaneous items in boxes. Report taken.
Robbery – 7:24 p.m. – 5500 block of Orangethorpe Ave. – A possible robbery just occurred at the business. The suspects reportedly threw pepper spray on the victim and left. The victim stated that the loss was $300. Police checked neighboring businesses for video surveillance. Robbery report taken.

May 14, 2022

Counseling – 2:05 p.m. – 5400 block of Orangethorpe Ave. – The reporting party believed that he was being followed by an unknown male subject who arrives to his location in different vehicles 10-15 minutes after the RP arrives.
Assist Other Department – 3:14 p.m. – 1300 block of W. Valencia (Fullerton) – Fullerton Police Department requested assistance from other departments to assist with evacuation and traffic control for a fire.
Traffic Stop – 10:44 p.m. – La Palma/Valley View – Police conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle possibly involved in a speed contest. Warning issued.

May 15, 2022

Area Check – 3:41 p.m. – 4900 block of La Palma Ave. – The reporting party advised that a subject with a loudspeaker was measuring out at 90 on their personal decibel meter and they were aware that it should not be over 68 per the La Palma Municipal Code. Party advised and will comply.
Reckless Driving – 10:32 p.m. – La Palma/Walker – A possibly DUI driver was swerving in and out of traffic. The vehicle was last seen headed eastbound on La Palma. Police were unable to locate the vehicle.

May 16, 2022

Petty Theft Report – 8:06 a.m. – 7900 block of Rose St. – The loss was a wallet with credit cards. Report taken.
Public Works Information – 10:27 a.m. – 5600 block of Orangethorpe Ave. – A large amount of nails and screws were reportedly in the roadway. The items were removed from the roadway. Public Works advised.

May 17, 2022

Stray Animal – 8:10 a.m. – La Palma/Walker – A kitten reportedly crawled underneath the car in the turn lane. Police were requested to attempt to locate it so it didn’t get mangled in the vehicle’s engine. Police were unable to locate the kitten and followed the driver into a parking lot to locate it. The vehicle was parked and SEAACA was contacted.
Petty Theft – 11:07 a.m. – 5400 block of La Palma Ave. – A male subject reportedly stole produce and various frozen food such as shrimp. The loss was valued at $184.40. Report taken.
Suspicious Circumstances – 2:22 p.m. – 6500 block of Valley View – A possible robbery reportedly occurred at the location with a subject bleeding and requesting medics. The loss was a gray backpack. There was no surveillance in the area. Police gained observation on a possible suspect, who was positively identified by the victim. Police arrested a 25-year-old male subject for assault with a deadly weapon, appropriation of lost property, robbery, and possession of a controlled substance.
Attempted Stolen Vehicle Report – 6:51 p.m. – 5600 block of Orangethorpe Ave. – A subject reportedly gained access to the reporting party’s vehicle by unknown means. The subject possibly drove the vehicle then backed into another vehicle and backed into the parking structure. Report taken.

May 18, 2022

Identity Theft Report – 8:05 a.m. – 7900 block of Willow Ln. – The reporting party received a letter from Carmax advising that he purchased a vehicle by check. The RP was not at any current loss. Report taken.
Area Check – 3:01 p.m. – 5400 block of Orangethorpe Ave. – Two male subjects were reportedly walking in and out of businesses in the area and appeared to be looking at cameras. Police were unable to locate the subjects.
