March 10, 2022
Area Check – 9:19 a.m. – 5000 block of Dumaine Dr. – The caller believed that a fake utility vehicle was parked in front of her residence. Police made contact with the reporting party and the subject and determined that the subject was doing surveying for the county.
Petty Theft – 2:20 p.m. – 5200 block of La Luna Dr. – Mail was reportedly taken from a mailbox. Police confirmed that a petty theft had occurred. Report taken.
March 11, 2022
Grand Theft Report – 12:17 p.m. – 6500 block of Valley View St. – A temporary employee took small packages from the business with an approximate value of $1000. Report taken.
Area Check – 10:19 p.m. – Orangethorpe/Walker – A vehicle was reportedly seen swerving and driving at inconsistent speeds. Police were unable to locate the vehicle.
March 12, 2022
Petty Theft Report – 10:54 a.m. – 5900 block of La Palma Ave. – The caller reported the loss of approximately $200-$300 worth of merchandise. The caller had surveillance ready and requested that a report be taken. Report taken.
Burglary Report – 4:49 p.m. – 5200 block of Pembury Dr. – An unknown subject reportedly entered the residence approximately one hour prior. The loss at this time was designer handbags.
March 13, 2022
Counseling – 7:17 p.m.- 4300 block of Robin Dr. – The caller’s neighbor reportedly built some type of plank between the wall separating the two residences. Assisted.
Assist Outside Agency – 7:59 p.m. – 9000 block of Moody St. (Cypress) – La Palma police were requested to assist Cypress Police Department with a domestic violence call at the location. Police made contact with one of the parties, who advised that the other half left. Police conducted a safety sweep.
March 14, 2022
Illegally Parked Vehicles – 12:39 p.m. – 7300 block of Bourbon Ln. – A dark gray Jeep was reportedly parked at the location for approximately five days and it was not known to the area. Police marked ten vehicles for 72 hours. Two vehicles were cited for registration.
Assault with a Deadly Weapon – 6:33 p.m. – Walker/Coyote Creek – A female subject under the bridge reportedly had been drinking and had a knife. A K-9 was requested from the Buena Park Police to assist. Los Angeles County Sheriff’s deputies responded and took over the investigation.
March 15, 2022
Pedestrian Check – 9:05 a.m. – 5600 block of Orangethorpe Ave. – Police conducted a pedestrian stop on two subjects. A 31-year-old female subject was arrested for appropriation of lost property, and a 27-year-old male subject was arrested for a bench warrant for failure to appear on a misdemeanor, appropriation of lost property, violation of pedestrian laws, giving false identification to police, and another bench warrant for failure to appear on a felony charge.
Petty Theft Report – 10:02 p.m. – Iris/Rose – Buena Park Police were about to perform a felony traffic stop related to a petty theft that occurred at a drug store. La Palma Police confirmed that Tide detergent had been stolen. The business desired prosecution. The estimated loss was $150. Buena Park Police arrested five subjects in connection with the incident and the merchandise was returned. Report taken.
March 16, 2022
Petty Theft Report – 5:13 p.m. – 5600 block of Orangethorpe Ave. – An Amazon package was reportedly taken from the front door at 4:16 p.m. The package contained cat food. The reporting party had video footage via a Ring doorbell camera.
Counseling – 6:05 p.m. – 5900 block of La Palma Ave. – A large pile of dirt and palm trees were reportedly dumped by the trash bin, damaging landscape, asphalt, and curb. No prosecution desired.
