July 14, 2022

Suspicious Subject – 10:49 a.m. – Crescent/Moody – A male subject was reportedly in an electrical box, and the caller believed that he was attempting to steal copper. Police contacted the subject, who was found to be an AT&T worker with a truck and tools. Checked okay.
Suspicious Subject – 6:31 p.m. – Hummingbird/Robin – Unfamiliar subjects were reportedly walking in the middle of the street. Police contacted the subjects and arrested a male subject for an outstanding warrant for failure to appear on a felony charge and possession of a narcotic controlled substance.

July 15, 2022

Area Check – 5:29 p.m. – 8300 block of Sparrow Ln. – A subject reportedly rang the caller’s doorbell and loitered on their porch and in the neighborhood. Police contacted the subject, who advised that he was attempting to sell solar services.
Trespassing – 5:42 p.m. – 5500 block of Fresca Dr. – A subject was reportedly refusing to leave the business and had been advised regarding trespassing in the past. The subject was plugging his phone into the business and was upset that an employee took the phone. The subject was arrested for utility theft.

July 16, 2022

Incident Report – 11:07 a.m. – 7300 block of Tiara Ln. – The reporting party’s personal information was reportedly compromised when a SIM card was swapped on their phone. Report taken.
Welfare Check – 5:14 p.m. – Crescent/Salisbury – A juvenile with a bike was reportedly laying in the bike lane and then sitting against the fence. Police were unable to locate the subject.

July 17, 2022

Area Check – 1:56 a.m. – 5300 block of Orangethorpe Ave. – An unknown male subject was reportedly screaming and yelling throughout the complex and banging on doors around the reporting party’s residence. The subject was also yelling profanities at people. Police were unable to locate the subject.
Disturbance (Party) – 6:52 p.m. – 5200 block of Glenwood Cir. – The caller made noise complaint, stating that he could hear a live band from his residence. Party advised and will comply.

July 18, 2022

Walkaway – 5:26 a.m. – 7900 block of Walker St. – A male subject on a mental health hold was walking northbound towards the park. The subject advised that he wanted police to shoot him. The subject then got naked and ran northbound on Walker, running into traffic, before heading eastbound on Orangthorpe to the 91 westbound offramp. The California Highway Patrol was advised. The subject was detained in cuffs and OCFA was requested for transport. The subject was taken back to the hospital.
Suspicious Circumstances – 11:31 p.m. – La Palma/Comstock – A female was reportedly heard crying loudly in the area and limping. The subject was also possibly heard saying “Help me.” The subject was last seen on foot westbound on La Palma. Police checked the area and were unable to locate the subject.

July 19, 2022

Disturbance (Mechanical/Equipment) – 12:37 a.m. – 5400 block of Orangethorpe Ave. – Welding sounds were reportedly coming to the rear of the business. Party advised and will comply.
Traffic Collision – 10:06 p.m. – 5600 block of Orangethorpe Ave. – A vehicle reportedly crashed by the onramp and its occupants fled into the apartment complex. Police checked the vehicle and determined that the license plate came back to a different vehicle with a different VIN. A flatbed truck was requested for the vehicle. Cypress Police and a K-9 unit assisted in checking the area. Report taken.
