February 17, 2023

Suspicious Subject – 9:22 a.m. – 5400 block of La Palma Ave. – A male subject reportedly poured a bottle of Jack Daniels into a separate container and threw the empty bottle into the bushes. The subject was now loitering in front of the business, talking to himself. The subject reportedly fled from police, dropping a baggie which he then swallowed. Police detained the subject in cuffs and conducted a search. The subject was arrested for destroying/concealing evidence, open container, and a bench warrant for failure to appear on a misdemeanor charge.
Disturbance (Party) – 10:11 p.m. – 5100 block of Ivywood Dr. – There was a loud party and music reportedly coming from the rear yard. The homeowner was advised and issued a first response notice.

February 18, 2023

Reckless Driving – 10:10 a.m. – Centerpointe Dr. – An SUV with Arizona license plates was reportedly driving erratically through the parking lot, swerving and making reckless lane changes. The reporting party believed that the driver was possibly intoxicated. Police performed a traffic stop and determined that the subject was not DUI. The driver was warned.
Lost/Stolen Property – 7:39 p.m. – 7100 block of Rampart Ln. – The reporting party believed that a cell phone was stolen during a yard sale at approximately 11 a.m. No report was desired. There were no eyewitnesses or leads at this time.

February 19, 2023

Citizen Assist – 2:14 p.m. – 7800 block of Nancy Cir. – The caller reported an ongoing problem with unknown subject putting things on his car windows. Police noted water spots on the window.

February 20, 2023

Citizen Assist – 1:35 p.m. – 5100 block of Dover Dr. – The reporting party stated that his neighbor threw a glass bottle at a gate and the RP was scared, requesting that police speak to the neighbor. Police were unable to make contact with the neighbor at this time.
Area Check – 9:09 p.m. – 5100 block of Ivywood Dr. – The caller believed that there was possibly a fire on Inwood or Ivywood. Smoke was seen between two homes. A fire was confirmed on Inwood, possibly due to an item in a microwave. The fire was extinguished.

February 21, 2023

Disturbance (Subject) – 12:52 p.m. – 5400 block of La Palma Ave. – A subject was reportedly screaming in the office. Both parties were counseled over a civil matter. The subject left the building.
Traffic Hazard – 9:58 p.m. – Moody/Sharon – A fallen tree was blocking the #2 southbound lane just south of Sharon. Public Works responded and use a chainsaw to cut the tree and remove it from the roadway.

February 22, 2023

Threats Report – 2:25 p.m. – 5400 block of Oranthorpe Ave. – The reporting party stated that a subject assaulted him and kicked his vehicle and then sprayed the RP with pepper spray. Police arrested a 54-year-old subject for vandalism and battery.
Assault/Battery – 8:09 a.m. – 5400 block of La Palma Ave. – A customer reportedly threw infant formula at the reporting party’s arm. The subject was gone on the arrival of police.

February 23, 2023

Attempted Stolen Vehicle Report – 7:49 a.m. – 5000 block of Decatur Dr. – The driver’s door was reportedly pried open and steering wheel messed up.
Assault/Battery – 9:51 a.m. – 5000 block of Orangethorpe Ave. – A transient reportedly punched an employee in the face on February 15. The transient was now in the parking lot. The reporting party had surveillance and pictures of the victim’s face and bruises. The subject was gone on the arrival of police. The victim was not at the location but information was provided.
