December 15, 2022

Grand Theft Report – 11:24 a.m. – 5800 block of Thelma Ave. – A catalytic converter theft occurred between 12/14 at 7 p.m. and 12/15 at 11:15 a.m. Report taken.
Disturbance (Subject) – 10:16 p.m. – 5400 block of La Palma Ave. – A male subject was reportedly in a verbal disturbance. No crime at this time. The manager advised that they would sign a private person’s arrest if the subject did not leave. Party advised and will comply.

December 16, 2022

Suspicious Vehicle – 8:34 a.m. – 5300 block of Athens Cir. – The reporting party stated that a subject in a red Prius had been watching his house for several days. Police determined that the subject was a Doordash delivery driver and had family on the street.
Petty Theft Report – 3:07 p.m. – 4900 block of Partridge Cir. – The caller, who lives in Arizona, had video surveillance of an unknown subject taking pool chemicals from the backyard of the location.

December 17, 2022

Grand Theft Report – 8:03 p.m. – 8200 block of Walker St. – A catalytic converter was stolen from a vehicle in the parking lot between 12 p.m. and 7 p.m. No prosecution was desired. The reporting party desired a case number for insurance purposes only. Report taken.
Disturbance (Subject) – 9:47 p.m. – 7821 Walker St. (La Palma Recreation Center) – A male subject was reportedly yelling and throwing objects in an argument versus a female. Police were unable to locate the subjects.

December 18, 2022

Transient – 7:37 p.m. – 5500 block of La Palma Ave. – A transient was reportedly sleeping on the floor, covered in a blanket. The subject was advised regarding trespassing.
Disturbance (Subject) – 8:47 p.m. – 7900 block of Walker St. – A transient was reportedly yelling at visitors and laying on the floor in front of the entrance to the building. The subject was also swinging headphones at people attempting to walk into the building. Party advised and will comply. The subject left the area.

December 19, 2022

Vandalism Report – 8:40 a.m. – 8200 block of Walker St. – Graffiti was reported in the bathroom on campus. Party advised and will comply. The school agreed to handle the incident. The students were picked up by their parents.
Fraud/Forgery Report – 3:26 p.m. – 7792 Walker St. (La Palma Police Department) – The reporting party requested a courtesy report after his EBT card was used at a business in Fairmont. The RP was still in possession of his EBT card. Report taken.
Area Check – 5:13 p.m. – 5400 block of Orangethorpe Ave. – The reporting party stated that he would like vehicles removed from the parking lot due to loitering. When the police arrived at the location, subjects got into their vehicles and left the area. The reporting party was advised.

December 20, 2022

Municipal Code Violation – 4:27 a.m. – 7821 Walker St. (Central Park) – Two subjects were reportedly near the gazebo with fire. Police did not observe fire but contacted the subjects and conducted a search. A 26-year-old male subject was arrested for an outstanding bench warrant for failure to appear on a misdemeanor charge.
Counseling – 8:26 p.m. – 8500 block of Salisbury Ln. – The caller requested counseling regarding issues with a neighbor saying something in her presence, but she did not know what exactly he said. Police contacted both parties. Incident report taken.

December 21, 2022

Counseling – 9:06 a.m. – 4900 block of Starling Wy. – The reporting party requested counseling regarding a scam email. The RP advised that an unknown subject now had access to his computer. No loss at this time. The RP was referred to tech support.
Public Works Information – 7:49 p.m. – Walker/183rd – Large rocks were reportedly in the roadway. The rocks were in the same location as the last time rocks were found in the roadway. The rocks were picked up.
