December 1, 2022

Citation – 8:23 a.m. – 7792 Walker St. (La Palma Police Department) – A violation was not fixed, so a citation was not signed off.

December 2, 2022

Petty Theft – 12:08 p.m. – Centerpointe Dr. – A subject was reportedly checking door handles and taking items from vehicles. Police were unable to locate the subject. No crime was confirmed at this time.

December 3, 2022

Disturbance (Subject) – 10:35 a.m. – 7900 block of Walker St. – A patient was reportedly throwing items and being uncooperative.
Pedestrian Check – 11:04 a.m. – 5600 block of Orangethorpe Ave. – After a pedestrian check, a male subject was arrested for multiple bench warrants for failure to appear on misdemeanor charges.

December 4, 2022

Grand Theft Report – 6:02 p.m. – 5000 block of Stratford Cir. – Property was stolen from the vehicle, which had no signs of forced entry. The loss included a $400 dash camera, $300 sunglasses (x2), and prescription glasses. Report taken.
Disturbance (Subject) – 9:19 p.m. – 8100 block of Wickham Ln. – A subject on the phone was reportedly threatening to set his wife’s vehicle on fire. Police were unable to locate any suspicious circumstances in the nearby area.

December 5, 2022

Suspicious Subject – 5:03 p.m. – 5400 block of Orangethorpe Ave. – A female subject who had possibly been drinking or taking drugs was reportedly swinging on a pole. Police were unable to locate the subject.
Suspicious Subject – 10:29 p.m. – 8400 block of Meadowlark Ln. – A subject reportedly approached the caller’s front door, but hid when the security light came on. The subject had possibly been drinking, with an unsteady gait. Police were unable to locate the subject.
Counseling – 10:59 p.m. – 5200 bock of Verner Dr. – The reporting party advised that an unknown subject on Craigslist was blackmailing the RP. The RP gave $50 to “match make” him and the subject was now demanding more money and that he would release photos of the reporting party. Counseled.

December 6, 2022

Found Property – 7:55 a.m. – 4800 block of Dove Cir. – A grease pump and suitcase were found at the residence. Report taken.
Area Check – 9:04 a.m. – 7800 block of Walker St. – The caller requested an area check for misplaced cones blocking his buisiness. The caller had already spoken to Public Works and stated that vehicles were making illegal u-turns.
Fraud/Forgery Report – 6:49 p.m. – 8700 block of Santa Margarita Ln. – The caller advised that he was scammed and was being blackmailed. The loss was $230 via Apple Pay. Counseled.

December 7, 2022

Disturbance (Subject) – 5:16 p.m. – Centerpointe Dr. – A subject was reportedly yelling at staff, claiming that they stole his card. Footage was viewed and the subject had been advised that his property was returned.
Citizen Assist – 8:45 p.m. – 7800 block of Bouma Cir. – The reporting party attempted to purchase a microphone and went to the location to pick it up and saw that the item was used. The item had been listed as new. The RP requested assistance to try and get her money back.
