August 18, 2022
Counseling – 5:18 p.m. – 5600 block of Orangethorpe Ave. – The caller had concerns regarding a scam. The caller gave their name and date of birth to unknown subjects claiming to be from Facebook and having prize money for him. The caller was instructed to put the money on a gift card but was alerted that the incident was a scam prior to the money being taken off the card. No loss. Counseled.
August 19, 2022
Extra Patrol Checks – 7:05 p.m. – Undisclosed locations – Extra patrol checks were requested for two suspicious vehicles.
Traffic Collision – 8:21 p.m. – La Palma/Holly – A car was reportedly on the center median with lights flashing. It was possibly an unreported stolen out of LASD Norwalk. LASD Norwalk confirmed that the vehicle was stolen following contact with the registered owner. A stolen vehicle report was taken.

Counseling – 7:30 p.m. – 7792 Walker St. (La Palma Police Department) – The reporting party was counseled in regards to a civil matter involving the dentist.
Traffic Stop – 10:46 p.m. – La Palma/San Rafael – There was traffic collision damage to the rear middle of the driver’s side. There was no front plate ont he vehicle and the rear plate had April 2020 stickers. Police conducted a vehicle search. The plate was found as stolena nd booked as evidence. The vehicle was impounded towed from the location. The driver was cited for driving on a suspended license and a DMV 310 notice was issued.
August 21, 2022
Area Check – 8:20 p.m. – 5600 block of Orangethorpe Ave. – The caller stated that his ex was driving on a suspended license with his child in the vehicle. The caller also stated that the vehicle would be getting on the 91 freeway from Orangethorpe. California Highway Patrol notified.
Disturbance (Family) – 8:49 p.m. – 4900 block of Quail Dr. – The caller stated that her son was threatening her and that he stated that he would kill her. She also stated that her son attacked her but would not give exact circumstances. Police found that the the female was intoxicated and her story was not making sense. After further investigation, it was determined that the female was the primary aggressor. The male did not desire prosecution.
August 22, 2022
Suspicious Circumstances – 10:29 a.m. – 7900 block of Sunflower Ln. –A female subject reportedly entered the backyard of the location. Police located an open gate in the 5800 block of Iris and found the subject in the side yard. The female subject was arrested for appropriation of lost property and later released on citation.
Suspicious Circumstances – 4:52 p.m. – 7821 Walker St. (Central Park) – There was reportedly blood all over the walls and floor in the men’s restroom.
August 23, 2022
Lost/Stolen Property – 11:48 a.m. – 7821 Walker St. (Central Park) – The reporting party lost a detention facility badge. Report taken.
Disturbance (Family) – 5:36 p.m. – 8400 block of Kington Wy. – The reporting party’s brother hit their mother. The subjects were still arguing. No medics were needed. No prosecution desired. Both parties were counseled. One subject was provided resources, and the mother was considering the eviction process.
August 24, 2022
Public Works – 6:31 p.m. – 5400 block of La Palma Ave. – The caller reported a bad sewer smell and the caller was concerned for children in the facility. Information was passed along to day shift.
Disturbance (Subject) – 10:54 p.m. – 7751 Moody St. (El Rancho Verde Park) – The reporting party and his girlfriend were walking at the park when a male subject started chasing the female. The RP and girlfriend ran off. It was unknown why the subject became upset with them. The male and female were picked up. The subject was advised and will comply. No crime.
