April 14, 2022

Disturbance (Family) – 2:42 p.m. – 5000 block of Sharon Dr. – The caller’s wife reportedly would not return the caller’s driver’s license. The wife could be heard yelling in the background. Police made contact, and the wife stated that the husband was not supposed to be driving do to a doctor diagnosing him with dementia. The subjects were counseled.
Patrol Check – 6:21 p.m. – 7200 block of Rampart Ln. – Code Enforcement requested that police check if the residence was having a garage sale. The owners were already advised to not have any more garage sales.

April 15, 2022

Traffic Stop – 12:15 a.m. – Malaga/Meadowlark – Police conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle. Following a search of the vehicle, police arrested a 54-year-old male subject on multiple bench warrants for failure to appear on misdemeanor and felony charges and a 26-year-old female subject for one bench warrant for failure to appear on a misdemeanor charge and possession of unlawful paraphernalia. The vehicle was towed and stored. The female was released on citation and the male later released on bail.
Suspicious Vehicle – 7:31 a.m. – Houston/Kevin – The caller reported a suspicious red Subaru with tinted windows driving in the neighborhood and slowly stopping every few homes.

April 16, 2022

Citizen Assist – 11:31 a.m. – 8000 block of Janeen Cir. – The caller advised that their son’s mountain bike was taken the day before and requested an officer to review the surveillance.
Stolen Vehicle – 10:29 p.m. – 91 Fwy./5 Fwy. (Orange) – Police were involved in a pursuit of a stolen vehicle that passed from the 91 Fwy. to the 5 Fwy. An airship was requested and responded. A felony traffic stop was initiated just past the Chapman exit. The California Highway Patrol was requested to execute a traffic break. Additional ground units responded to the location while the vehicle was being cleared. A 33-year-old female subject was arrested for possession of a controlled substances and possession of a stolen vehicle, and a 39-year-old male subject was arrested for possession of a stolen vehicle and driving on a license that was suspended or revoked for DUI.

April 17, 2022

Incident Report – 10:13 p.m. – 8000 block of Redford Ln. – A vehicle reportedly struck a curb and was parked sideways. Police found the vehicle with its hood up and the ignition punched. Police were unable to make contact with the registered owner of the vehicle. The vehicle was towed from location and stored. Report taken.

April 18, 2022

Recovered Stolen Vehicle – 11:30 a.m. – 7700 block of Valley View St. – The reporting party reported the vehicle stolen to LAPS in March. The RP advised that he and his girlfriend located the vehicle in Lincoln Heights and contacted the local PD three times and was advised that they had to wait approximately two hours. The police notified the reporting party to have the vehicle towed to his residence and to contact the local police department. The vehicle was not damaged, stripped, or burned, but was missing one license plate. A report was taken for the outstanding plate.
Fraud Report – 5:06 p.m. – 4900 block of Berton Cir. – The reporting party advised that their Target credit card information was stolen and was used to make fraudulent purchases. The reporting party had the name and address information where the packages were being delivered. Report taken.

April 19, 2022

Attempted Vehicle Theft – 6:55 a.m. – 5600 block of Vinevale Cir. – A drier’s side door lock and ignition were punched out on the vehicle. There was no loss at this time. The incident occurred between the previous night at 6 p.m. and time of call. Report taken.
Grand Theft Report – 1:47 p.m. – 8300 block of Meadowlark Ln. – A checkbook was reportedly taken from the mail and $1900 was cashed from the reporting party’s account. Report taken.
Trespassing – 7:50 p.m. – 5900 block of Fresca Dr. – The reporting party was working alone in a cubicle and never heard the subject came in. The caller went towards the break room and saw the subject, and the subject ran and hid for twenty minutes before the caller called the police. The managers did not desire prosecution. The subject was advised and sent on his way.

April 20, 2022

Bike Stop – 1:17 a.m. – 5300 block of Orangethorpe Ave. – Police performed a bike stop and subsequently arrested a 40-year-old male subject for bench warrants for failure to appear on misdemeanor and felony charges and for possession of a narcotic controlled substance.
Welfare Check – 7:35 p.m. – 5000 block of Orangethorpe Ave. – A subject was on released from a mental health hold in a hospital in Sacramento and was supposed to be picked up from LAX and taken to a mental institute for further treatment and evaluation. The subject was not picked up and was emailing nonsensical statements to her mother. The subject exhibited similar behavior when she was originally put on the mental health hold. Police located the subject, who refused services and declined any further resources.
