La Habra High School junior guard Grayson Sinek has reached the 1,000-point mark in his basketball career with the Highlanders.

Sinek had a big week last week, averaging 17 points, three rebounds, three steals and two assists over four games on his way to being named tournament MVP. La Habra won all of its games in Florida to capture the title at the KBA Championships

“I’m very proud of Grayson for joining the 1,000 point club,” said Highlander Coach Aaron Riekenberg. “An accomplishment like this is not possible without his teammates. We have a special group and they all respect the work Grayson puts in and are constantly trying to find ways to help him get good looks.

“Grayson is not only a great scorer, but he’s also one of the best defenders we’ve had in our program. He’s a captain on our team and makes an impact on campus as a member of FCA (Fellowship of Christian Athletes) while holding a 4.0 as part of our AP Heritage Program. Very proud to have Grayson represent La Habra basketball and looking forward to seeing him accomplish many more goals.”
