Congresswoman Michelle Steel announced the endorsement of Los Angeles County Sheriff Alex Villanueva.
“As a member of Congress and former Chair of the Orange County Board of Supervisors, Michelle is a tireless supporter of law enforcement and it is my privilege to endorse her for another term in Congress where I know she will continue her work standing up for public safety and against the radical efforts to defund police,” said Sheriff Villanueva. “As hate crimes against Asian Americans have been on the rise, Michelle has been a tireless advocate working to hold those responsible accountable.”
Sheriff Villanueva’s endorsement follows recent endorsements from Orange County Sheriff Don Barnes, and Los Angeles County Supervisor Kathryn Barger.
“I am honored to accept Sheriff Villanueva’s endorsement,” said Steel. “Sheriff Villanueva has stood strong as radical progressives have sought to defund his department and fire his employees – I look forward to working alongside him to ensure our men and women of law enforcement have the tools they need to do their jobs and keep our communities safe.”
