She’s responsible for overseeing the operations of MemorialCare Medical Group and MemorialCare Independent Physicians a network of more than 2,500 physicians and advanced practice providers, and more than 230 care sites under the foundation’s umbrella. She took on the post in 2022, after serving in various leadership positions with Kaiser Permanente Washington and Providence Health System.
Are there specific strategies that have helped you accomplish your goals?
Being a lifelong learner. I consistently ask what’s working, what’s not, and what support teams need to execute well. I read and listen to a variety of industry and non industry educators and leaders to glean pearls of wisdom that I can apply to my own practices.
What skills have you developed as a result of the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
I’ve developed resilience, flexibility, and the confidence to ask hard questions. Leading in complex systems taught me to pair curiosity and compassion with disciplined execution to drive meaningful, sustainable change.
What qualities have been crucial to your success?
Curiosity, compassion, strategic thinking, and accountability. Asking questions and creating the right environment for caregivers has been just as important as disciplined execution.
