Never mind the bollocks can have so many different meanings in 2025, but if you’re a fan of punk rock, it means the return of the Sex Pistols.
They are definitely a blast from the past and pioneers of the genre, and the world as we know it today has room for a band like this. The original band featured vocalist John Lydon (aka Johnny Rotten), guitarist Steve Jones, drummer Paul Cook, and bassist Glen Matlock.
After Matlock’s departure, the infamous Sid Vicious joined the band. With the help of Malcolm McLaren, history as we knew it was about to turn us over to the original upside down.
With 1975 as the focal point of the time warp rise of Sex Pistols, those massive punk hits engulfed us with “Anarchy in the UK,” “Submission,” “Holiday in the Sun,” “Bodies,” “Pretty Vacant,” and “God Save the Queen.”
The band became legendary pied pipers of an evolving lifestyle called punk rock.

In the 2025 incarnation of this fabled band, Jones, Cook, and Matlock will be joined by new front-man Frank Carter. This North American tour will be their first road trip since 2003 when Lydon was still behind the mic.
This version of Sex Pistol will perform “Never Mind the Bollocks, Here’s the Sex Pistols” in its entirety, plus throw in additional material.

Discussing the timing of the tour, Carter said, “I think everybody needs this band right now. I think the world needs this band right now. And I think definitely America is screaming out for a band like the Sex Pistols.”
Matlock added, “We’re a bit older but we play just as well, if not better. And I think that’s something that’s got a great deal of aplomb that we’re going to bring to the public over there.”
The band will hit multiple cities, including Philadelphia, Brooklyn, Montreal, Toronto, Detroit, Denver, Seattle and San Francisco, plus a SoCal stop concludes the tour – October 16th at The Hollywood Palladium.
