Calling all Irvine middle and high school students looking to make a difference for our planet! Join the Cool Irvine Student Green Challenge and take environmentally friendly actions, either solo or in teams.
The challenge runs through October 13. Winning team members will each receive a $100 gift card, and the winning individual will receive a $70 gift card. All winners will be recognized at an Irvine City Council meeting.
It’s easy to take part:
- Decide if you’re participating solo or as part of a team, which should consist of no more than three to five students residing in Irvine.
- Get parent permission and register online.
- Pick five actions to take that support sustainability efforts for Irvine. All ideas are welcome — be inspired and get creative!
- Prepare a presentation summarizing your efforts.
- Submit your entry by 11:59 p.m. October 13.
