Work on a new industrial building near Long Beach Airport is finally complete. Goodman North America announced this week it completed construction on its Goodman Commerce Center Long Beach, Building One. The 504,810-square-foot industrial building is located between Orange County and the Ports of Los Angeles and Long Beach.
Goodman Commerce Center Long Beach, Building One could function as a fulfillment center for the aerospace, e-commerce, manufacturing and space technology industries. The industrial building replaces the former Boeing C-17 manufacturing plant.
“This is a launchpad built to propel growth — where strategic location, supply-chain resilience, a strong talent pool, and modern infrastructure combine to help customers withstand trade uncertainty and achieve long-term success,” Goodman North America CEO Anthony Rozic said in a statement. “Long Beach has always held a unique position as a key logistics hub — a role that has grown even more critical in today’s economic environment.”
The building is located at 2401 E. Wardlow Road in Long Beach and features a 40-foot height clearance, 240-foot truck court depth, 61 dock doors and a secure yard. A 10,000-square-foot office with a mezzanine could also be designed inside the building. A tenant for the building has not yet been announced.
Goodman Commerce Center Long Beach, Building One is located Long Beach’s ‘Space Beach,’ a district that has become a hub for space technology companies. Long Beach-based Relativity Space, for example, is headquartered in the area.
