Golden State Water Company responded to a water main break in the 4700 block of Ashbury Ave. in central Cypress.

The break started leaking profuse amounts of water along the seam between the asphalt and the gutter in the late afternoon of April 10. Golden State Water responded promptly with personnel to inspect the problem and then with equipment to address the issue.

Residences in the 4700-4800 block of Ashbury Ave. are expected to be affected by repair work, as the main will need to be shut off while repairs are in progress. There will also be considerable construction noise. There is no current estimate as to how long the repairs will take.
