It was already exciting that we will see Garbage at Cruel World in May, but now they have announced a whole headlining tour, and a new album to boot!
The upcoming album, “Let All That We Imagine Be the Light” will drop May 30th and the accompanying North American tour will hit more than 30 cities. Starcrawler will lend support.

With Shirley Manson at the front, Butch Vig behind the drum kit, and Duke Erikson and Steve Marker on guitars, Garbage released “No Gods No Masters” in 2021, so another new album is pretty sweet.
We will have plenty of time to get absorbed into it before the September tour kick off in Orlando.
Although The Happy Endings Tour is stopping in cities like Atlanta, Nashville, Brooklyn, Dallas, Las Vegas, and the final city of Phoenix, SoCal’s only date is the Cruel World show.
So far they have not shared a track off the new album, but hopefully we will hear something soon. You can preorder the album now, including a nifty orange vinyl. Until then, just blast “Stupid Girl,” “#1 Crush,” “Only Happy When It Rains,” “Queer,” “I Think I’m Paranoid,” and “The World is Not Enough” on repeat.

The last time we saw Garbage live was at KROQ’s Almost Acoustic Christmas at the Kia Forum.
Aside that show, Garbage last toured North America in 2023 in a limited run with Noel Gallagher’s High Flying Birds, but their last major tour was nearly a decade ago, so I suggest you make plans to see them.
Tickets go on sale next Friday, April 4th at 10 a.m. local time. This may be one of this autumn’s highlights you might want to check out.
