Fullerton captures silver division title at Estancia Coast Classic with win over Valencia

Fullerton High School’s boys basketball team, coached by Erik Kamrath, ended 2024 by winning the silver division tournament title at the Estancia Coast Classic Monday.

The Indians, 11-7 overall, defeated Valencia 57-54 in the championship game.

Senior Guard Jordan Myvett scored 15 points and was named tournament MVP. Myvett averaged 18 points during the tournament. Senior forward Jad Mustafa scored 16 points and was named to the all-tournament team. He averaged 17.5 points in the tournament.,

“I thought we played much better offensively this week,” Kamrath said. “Our team has shown some resilience responding to runs that the opposing teams have made. I also think that we haven’t reached our full potential yet. We have been making some mental errors that can be corrected to help us finish games better and be more consistent.”

Fullerton hosts Santa Fe Friday at 6 p.m.
