Foothill, Tesoro, Costa Mesa, Servite and Pacifica baseball teams earn victories

FOOTHILL 4, VILLA PARK 2: The Knights knocked off Villa Park, the top-ranked team in this week’s CIF Division 1 poll. Andrew Parker pitched five innings, allowing five hits and two earned runs while striking out three to earn the victory and lift Foothill into a tie for first place with Villa Park. Cameron Kessel pitched two innings allowing a hit and striking out one.

Garrett Davidson was 3 for 4 with a double and two RBI, Brett Castillo was 3 for 4 with a run scored and a double and Brady Schrank was 1 for 3 with an RBI for Foothill (18-9, 6-2). VIlla Park is 24-3 and 6-2 in league play. The teams play again Thursday at Foothill.

TESORO 8, DANA HILLS 1: The Titans (19-7, 5-5) were led by Coleton Dahl, who pitched seven innings allowing three hits and one earned run and striking out five in the South Coast League game. Jacob Lambdin was 4 for 4 with a triple, a run scored and two RBI and Dylan Miner was 2 for 3 with two RBI.

COSTA MESA 17, SADDLEBACK 0: The Mustangs (12-12, 5-9) captured an Orange Coast League victory Tuesday. Jacob Allen pitched six innings to earn the victory, striking out seven and allowing one hit. He was also 3 for 6 at the plate with a home run and three RBI.

Chris Hall was 2 for 3 with three runs scored, a double and four RBI, JJ Kibin was 3 for 4 with three runs scored, a double and two RBI and Caleb Robeck was 2 for 3 with three runs scored, two doubles and three RBI.

SERVITE 7, ST. JOHN BOSCO 5: Mikiah Negrete got the victory for the Friars (16-10, 8-6) and Colin Galvin recorded the save in the Trinity League game. Camden Clewett and Nick Gallardo had two RBI each and Jonathon Rodriguez, Miles Scott and Joey Rosetti had one RBI each.

PACIFICA 4, VALENCIA 0: The Mariners (18-8, 6-3) got a strong pitching performance from Johnny Morales, who pitched the first six innings, striking out seven in the Empire League game. Luke Anema pitched one inning and struck out two. Chad Brown was 2 for 4, Ryland Chastain was 2 for 3 with a double, RBI and a run scored, Justin Aguinaga had a triple and an RBI and Landyn Thomas had a double and an RBI.

SEGERSTROM 9, OCEAN VIEW 6: The Jaguars earned a share of the Golden West League title after jumping out to a 9-0 lead. Ocean View threatened scoring six runs in the seventh before Zander Bretza got the save. For story and photos, click here:
