CAPO VALLEY CHRISTIAN PART OF A FOUR-TEAM LEAGUE

Capistrano Valley Christian’s football team is in aleague this season, according to Coach Eric Preszler.

“We’re in a league now so we have a chance to control our own destiny,” Preszler said.

Other teams in the Mesquite League are Linfield Christian, Arrowhead Christian, Western Christian, Riverside Prep and Trinity Classical Academy.

“I’m thrilled because we’re in a league because we’re in a league with schools similar to us as far as size and competitive equity,” Preszler said. “If you get first, second or third, you find a way to stay in the playoffs and who knows what happens.”

The Eagles host Godinez Friday night at Aliso Niguel.
