Explore Irvine: Join the Community Bike Tour April 25

The community is invited to participate in a bike tour of Irvine hosted by the Orange County Cycling Business Coalition, in partnership with the City of Irvine, Friday, April 25. 

Riders of all ages can participate in the Community Bike Tour, opting for a 5-mile ride loop or a 25-mile ride along Irvine’s bikeways. The rides will start and end at Irvine Station, 15215 Barranca Parkway. Check-in is from 2 to 2:30 p.m. Rides will take place from 2:30 to 4:30 p.m.

The Community Bike Tour is part of the City’s ongoing efforts to expand opportunities for cycling. Irvine has an extensive bike network with 113.24 miles of off-street bikeway trails and 286.42 lane miles of on-street bikeways. City staff are dedicated to enhancing and expanding the trail network, with construction underway on the second Class IV protected bikeway in Irvine and six additional protected bikeways planned this year.

The Community Bike Tour is free and suitable for beginning to experienced riders. Registration is required at yourirvine.org.

Helmets are required for children 17 and under; recommended for riders 18 and older.
