Sandra Beard is resigning as chief financial officer of Newport Beach-based Evolus Inc., a maker of beauty products, effective June 13.

Beard is taking the same position at an unidentified private mental health and wellness technology company, Evolus said in a statement.  The company said the resignation isn’t the result of any disagreement about its operations.

“Her stewardship across several important functions has helped drive our consistent growth and positioned the company for continued success,” Evolus Chief Executive David Moatazedi said in a statement. “We enter this next chapter with strong momentum, having recently launched our second product line, achieved record revenues, solidified the balance sheet, and positioned the company for profitability.”

Beaver in 2024 was a winner of the Business Journal’s annual CFO award for the public sector.

Shares of Evolus fell 4.6% to $9.36 each in after-hours trading. Earlier shares rose 1.3% to $9.81 and a $633 million market cap.
