Estancia and Mission Viejo baseball teams capture league victories

ESTANCIA 3, SANTA ANA 1: The Eagles wrapped up Orange Coast League play with a victory over Santa Ana Wednesday night at TeWinkle Park.

Estancia (23-5, 10-5) was led by Andrew Milts, who pitched a complete game, allowing no earned runs and two hits. Milts (7-4) walked one and struck out seven.

James De La O led Estancia offensively, going 1 for 3 with a triple and an RBI. Cole Lefebvre was 2 for 3 with a run scored and a triple and Andrew Coyotzi was 2 for 3 with an RBI and two stolen baes.

“With Orange’s win over Calvary Chapel, we finish in a tie for second place with Calvary Chapel. Since we are in different divisions we will be going into the playoffs as a second place finisher,” said Estancia Coach Nate Goellrich.

Santa Ana finished regular season play 11-17 overall and 7-8 in the Orange Coast League.

MISSION VIEJO 21, CAPISTRANO VALLEY 8: The Diablos (11-15, 5-5) captured a South Coast League victory Wednesday. Travis Anderson was 3 for 3 with a home run, two doubles, an RBI and three runs scored. Keenan Anzai was 3 for 4 with two doubles, an RBI and three runs scored, Ben Castelli was 1 for 4 with a home run, three RBI and three runs scored and Tyler Holland was 2 for 2 with a home run, triple, four RBI and four runs scored.

Jake Tyler got the win, pitching four innings and allowing no earned runs. He struck out six.

The teams play again Friday at Capo Valley.
