The Cypress Chamber of Commerce will host a representative from the well known Spark of Love Toy Drive campaign as our guest speaker at the December Networking Breakfast. Our event will be held Tuesday, December 13 at the Residence Inn by Marriott at 4931 Katella Avenue, Cypress/Los Alamitos starting at 7:30 a.m. and will follow all current protocols for attendee safety. Attendees will hear about the success of this annual toy program and get an idea of how the toys are distributed for the Holidays.
The Cypress Chamber is also inviting attendees to bring a TOY for Spark of Love. For each individual unwrapped toy donated at the breakfast, attendees will receive one opportunity ticket and be entered into a drawing for a $100.00 fine-dining gift card.
The annual Spark of Love Toy Program is held throughout Southern California. Here in Orange County it benefits local charities and non-profit groups in our communities who provide toys to kids and teens who may otherwise not fully enjoy the magic of the holidays. The Orange County Fire Authority (OCFA) and other fire agencies partner with local businesses and public entities like OCTA to help collect donated items. Last year the OCFA was able to collect nearly 36,000 toys and $40,000 in monetary donations for children in need. Regional donation events are held throughout Southern California like the one to be held in the Cypress Costco Parking lot on December 10th.
Also presenting at this breakfast will be Bonnie Peat, President of the Cypress Woman’s Club and Theresa Murphy, Executive Director of Precious Life Shelter. These are two local nonprofits that benefit our community. They will both share a brief look at their respective organizations and their goals and plans for 2023.
At our breakfast, each attendee will also have an opportunity to stand to introduce themselves and share a little about their own business before the program begins.
Reservations are highly recommended to secure your spot for the monthly breakfasts and can be made online. Cost of the breakfast is $25.00. Early Bird Registration is $20.00. Attendees are also welcome to bring door prizes to promote their product or service. The program will include time for live networking, self-introductions, breakfast, our guest speaker and a question and answer session if time permits.
The Chamber breakfasts, which are open to the public, are held on the second Tuesday of every month. Space will be limited. To assure your seat, pre-register on the Cypress Chamber website.
