Byrne and the rest of Talking Heads helped pioneer new wave music with their blend of African beats, punk, art rock, and world music. Their avant-garde and rhythmic approach paired with their introspective and surreal lyrical style helped pave the way for other artists in the industry today.
Fans still go crazy for their hits “Psycho Killer,” “Burning Down the House,” “Once in a Lifetime,” “This Must Be the Place,” “Nothing but Flowers,” “Love for Sale,” “Life During Wartime,” “Pulled Up,” “Road to Nowhere,” “And She Was,” and “Wild Wild Life” among countless others.

Byrne’s new album, “Who Is the Sky?” continues to showcase the musical genius he expressed throughout his entire impressive career. The forthcoming album contains an impressive roster of talent, including producer Kid Harpoon, members of the Ghost Train Orchestra, St. Vincent, Hayley Williams, and Tom Skinner who helped bring the 12 tracks to life.
The opening track, “Everybody Laughs,” was accompanied by a music video featuring St. Vincent, which caused David to realize his usage of the word “Everybody” and divulge that he views the word anthropologically: Everybody feels, bleeds, dies, laughs, and experiences life.
