Soroptimist International, a global volunteer movement with a vision that Women and girls will achieve their individual and collective potential, realize their aspirations, and have an equal voice in creating strong, peaceful communities worldwide. Soroptimist International of Cypress, a 501(c)(3) non-profit, carries out the mission here locally in Cypress and our immediate surrounding communities.
Since 1982 our “Club”- SI Cypress has donated more than $600,000 and countless hours to our community through Soroptimist Dream Programs, Educational Grants, and support to other local organizations. The Live Your Dream Program provides educational grants and support through a partnership with Cypress College to women heads of household who have returned to college, not only bettering themselves, but also their families. Dream It Be It is an Educational/Mentoring program provided in the community to
Jr./Sr. High School Students, as well as educational grants for Seniors going on to college. In addition, through a partnership with The Boys & Girls Club of Cypress/Anaheim, SI Cypress has not only volunteered and provided the resources for the Smart Girls Program, but also contributed gifts and grants to those in need.
Preparations for our fall fundraiser are under way and we are soliciting donations for our Silent Auction/Opportunity Drawing at our Wine & Jazz Social Event to help us in our fundraising efforts.
