Each spring, we honor those who have been nominated and selected as our employees of the year for their outstanding service. Ann Chung
Margaret Landell Elementary School

Ann has been a devoted educator in the Landell community for the last 24 years, teaching third, fourth, and fifth grades. She is also the Student Council advisor and works with student leaders to organize schoolwide philanthropic and campus beautification projects. Her passion, hard work, and dynamic personality have had a lasting impact on the students she serves. As one of her students shared, “She always puts a seed of inspiration in each student’s heart….”

Ellen is a dedicated, student-centered employee who has contributed to the success of the Cypress School District on many levels. During the pandemic, she was instrumental in getting devices into the hands of students so they could continue their learning remotely. When families had technical difficulties, Ellen and her team were on the frontlines to ensure they received the assistance they needed to support their child’s success.

Coordinator, Curriculum & Instruction, Educational Services

Dr. Gibbs promotes the success of all students by supporting a high-quality, evidence-based instructional program districtwide. She coordinates all core and supplemental instructional programs, state and district assessments, teacher professional development, instructional technology, and the English learner program. She has also been instrumental in advancing the district’s Multi-Tiered System of Support which provides leveled intervention to address student needs.
