September 5, 2022
Vehicle Burglary – 12:43 p.m. – 9000 block of Cobblestone – Sometime in the past 24 hours, an unknown suspect broke into the victim’s vehicle by way of a door lock punch and stole the registration, insurance information and miscellaneous mail.
Recovered Stolen Vehicle – 2:15 p.m. – 5000 block of Lincoln Ave. – The victim’s white 2019 Kia was recovered. The vehicle had been parked since Sunday, and at the time of the investigation there was no suspect information.
September 6, 2022
Arrest – 10:44 a.m. – 5800 block of Lincoln Ave. – A male subject committed shoplifting and fled the store in his vehicle. With the assistance of West Comm and using license plate reader scan data, police located the subject driving in the area of Katella and Beach. He was followed and eventually stopped in Anaheim, and positively identified by the reporting party. He was arrested.
Robbery – 1:22 p.m. – 5800 block of Lincoln Ave. – A male and female entered the store and stole $900 worth of Easy Ups, Tiki torches, laundry detergent, and other miscellaneous items. Upon contact by loss prevention, the suspects made threats of violence and used the torches as weapons. The suspects got into a white Ford van, driven by a third male suspect and fled northbound Valley View. An Officer followed the suspects to Orangethorpe but lost them before uniformed units could arrive.
September 7, 2022
Burglary – 6:21 a.m. – 4000 block of Ball Rd. – Sometime overnight, an unknown suspect entered the business via a glass door smash, ransacked the business and stole $150 cash from the register.
Burglary – 9:47 a.m. – 9100 block of Valley View St. – Sometime in the past 2 weeks, an unknown suspect cut the wire mesh roof to the victim’s storage unit and stole $9700 worth of property, including vintage Lego sets, Pokemon cards, Marvel figurines, comic books and a tool bench.

Public Works Callout – 5:50 p.m. – 8600 block of Watson – A large tree fell in the parking lot and blocked several vehicles. No vehicles were damaged and PW was called out to remove the tree.
Stolen Vehicle – 6:01 p.m. – 5100 block of Cerritos Ave. – An unknown suspect stole the victim’s white 2001 GMC Sierra between 0800 and time of call.
September 9, 2022
Arrest – 6:57 a.m. – 11500 block of Manila Dr. – From a call for service of a subject slumped over in a vehicle, a male subject was arrested for possession of fentanyl and an outstanding burglary warrant.
Traffic Collision – 12:31 p.m. – Ball/Bloomfield – During a traffic collision investigation, police conducted a search of one of the involved parties. During the search, the subject pulled away and attempted to flee. A Los Alamitos officer assisted, and the subject was taken into custody. During the process of taking him into custody, a stopped vehicle was damaged as a result of the altercation. The subject was ultimately arrested for possession of fentanyl and resisting a peace officer.
Shoplifting – 1:02 p.m. – 5800 block of Lincoln Ave. – From a call for service of a subject detained in the loss prevention office for shoplifting, a male subject was arrested for multiple warrants, shoplifting, and providing a false name. Mobile ID fingerprint reader assisted with his proper identification.
Arrest – 4:52 p.m. – 5800 block of Lincoln Ave. – From a call for service of a subject who had stolen power tools and electronics and fled on foot into the Goodwill store, police located and arrested a male subject for grand theft, providing a false name, and multiple outstanding warrants.

Suspicious Occupied Vehicle – 9:33 p.m. – 5700 block of Orange Ave. – From an occupied vehicle check, a male subject was arrested for battery, elder abuse, and a court order violation. The subject was the outstanding suspect who assaulted his elderly mother and violated a court order on 09-09-22.

Catalytic Converter Theft – 8:48 a.m. – 6300 block of Mt Ripley – Five minutes prior to the call for service, an unknown suspect in a late model white SUV stole the catalytic converter from the victim’s motorhome. Officers were unable to locate the suspect during an area check
Assist Outside Agency – 10:32 p.m. – 5600 block of Lincoln Ave. – Officers responded to the location at the request of the OCFA, who left 6 children (ages 4 months – 7 years) in their motel room while they transported the mother for complaints of pain due to Covid related concerns. CPS was contacted and declined to respond to take custody of the children. Officers were able to make contact with the children’s aunt who later responded and took custody of the children. SCAR report submitted to CPS due to the obvious neglect and unsuitable living conditions.
