September 26, 2022

Grand Theft – 2:52 p.m. – 6800 block of Katella Ave. – The suspect had distracted the employee by asking for a shoe size that required the employee to go into the back of the store.  While out of eyesight of the employee, the suspect grabbed several bins of clothing (valued at $1500) and fled in a blue Nissan Sentra eastbound on Katella.  This license plate returned as a stolen license plate out of New York. 
Catalytic Converter Theft – 4:38 p.m. – 5000 block of Brunswick – An unknown suspect stole the catalytic converter from the victim’s Honda Accord, possibly on Friday.

September 27, 2022

Shoplifting – 12:24 p.m. – 5800 block of Lincoln Ave. – A female subject was arrested for shoplifting after she exited the store with a shopping cart full of stolen items.  She was cited and released.
Burglary – 1:43 p.m. – 9100 block of Valley View St. – Sometime between 9/26/22 at 4 p.m. and today at 10:20 a.m., 3 auction units were broken into and clothing and office equipment was stolen, totaling $4000. 

September 28, 2022

Arrest – 10:02 a.m. – 6800 block of Katella Ave. – Two male subjects were arrested for shoplifting after they stole two printers.  Both subjects were cited and released in the field.
Vehicle Burglary – 10:24 a.m. – 5800 block of Lincoln Ave. – While the victim was in the store from 9:30 a.m. to 10:15 a.m., an unknown suspect pried the passenger side door open and stole his wallet, containing $800 cash and several credit cards.  One of the credit cards was used at a gas station on Lincoln in Anaheim.   
Welfare Check – 3:00 p.m. – Katella/Douglas – From a call of a welfare check, officers located a male from Tarzana.  After parking his vehicle, he lost his keys and became confused. He had been on foot in the area since late last night.  Officers were able to locate his adult daughter, who responded. 

September 29, 2022

Arrest – 9:22 p.m. – 9100 block of Valley View St. – An officer was conducting surveillance on the business and observed a suspicious subject loitering in front of the business. The officer then observed another subject exit through the emergency exit door pushing a cart with a large TV and tools on it.  When he attempted to contact the subject pushing the cart, the suspect fled on foot. The other subject was contacted and admitted his friend was removing items. Officers later located the outstanding subject, and he was arrested for burglary, burglary tools, and conspiracy. The other subject was arrested for possession of paraphernalia and conspiracy.  Both subjects were absentee booked and transported to Orange County Jail.
Robbery – 10:47 p.m. – 4900 block of Ball Rd. – Two subjects attempted to rob the business at gunpoint but were unsuccessful in doing so as the clerk walked away from them. The suspects were last seen in a 90’s style silver Honda Accord or Civic, southbound Moody, eastbound Belle.
Robbery – 11:31 p.m. – 9500 block of Valley View St. – While officers were still investigating the above robbery, the same suspects robbed the store at gunpoint and stole $300, lottery tickets, and cigars.  They were last seen driving westbound on Orange. 

September 30, 2022

Arrest – 2:54 a.m. – 11300 block of Valley View St. – A female subject was arrested for an outstanding warrant and possession of narcotics after stopping to assist her disabled vehicle. She was cited and released in the field.
Arrest – 4:55 p.m. – 5800 block of Lincoln Ave. – From a call of a subject in custody by Loss Prevention, a male subject was arrested for petty theft. He was cited and released in the field.

October 1, 2022

Vandalism – 4:28 a.m. – 8800 block of Walker St. – A male subject carrying a crowbar reportedly broke the window of the unit and left on foot. There were suspicious circumstances, and the victim was non-cooperative and gave conflicting statements.
Arrest – 4:39 p.m. – 4500 block of Lincoln Ave. – During an investigation of a subject who was seen masturbating and defecating in the area, Officers contacted the suspect. The subject was then taken into custody. He was later transported to Orange County Jail for booking on resisting arrest.

October 2, 2022

Auto Theft – 11:32 a.m. – 9200 block of Valley View St. – While the victim was attending the Cypress Swap Meet (7:40 a.m. to 10:30 a.m.), an unknown suspect stole the victim’s blue Chevrolet Silverado.
Vandalism – 10:35 p.m. – 10000 block of Valley View St. – A male subject, described as a male Hispanic with a red backpack and skateboard, vandalized the cash register and left the store on foot.
