Domestic Violence – 5:26 a.m. – 5600 block of Lincoln Ave. – A female subject was arrested for assault with a deadly weapon after she stabbed her boyfriend. The additional charge of resisting arrest was added for her actions upon her arrest.
Vehicle Burglary – 12:30 p.m. – 4700 block of Myra – Sometime overnight, an unknown suspect entered the victim’s vehicle via punched door lock and stole sunglasses, a sweater and the vehicle registration

Traffic Stop – 12:18 a.m. – Knott/Jonathan – From a traffic stop, a male subject was arrested for a felony warrant, and a female subject was arrested for a felony warrant and for being in possession of a controlled substance for sale.
Burglary – 5100 block of Katella Ave. – Sometime overnight an unknown suspect cut the lock on a lock box and stole $5000 worth of tools. The tools had “Covi” painted on them.
Medical Aid – 7:03 p.m. – Lincoln/Valley View – From a call of a possible DUI driver westbound on Lincoln Avenue, an Officer located the vehicle at Lincoln and Moody. He initiated a traffic stop and the driver failed to yield to his lights and sirens and continued westbound. The driver eventually yielded at Carson and Juan in the City of Hawaiian Gardens and was found to be suffering from a medical emergency.

Petty Theft – 10:30 a.m. – 10000 block of Valley View St. – At approximately 10:01 a.m., an unknown subject stole a bottle of Jack Daniels and left the location on foot. The subject was described a Hispanic male, mid-30s, bald with a thin build.
Stolen License Plate – 11:33 a.m. – 9200 block of Bloomfield – Within the past month, an unknown suspect stole both license plates from the victim’s vehicle.

Burglary Report – 9:39 a.m. – 8800 block of Watson – Between 04-27-22 and 05-12-22, an unknown suspect burglarized the victim’s storage unit and stole $25,000 worth of electronic equipment.
Power Outage – 5:10 p.m. – Valley View/Fred – The traffic signal was out in all directions, causing a traffic hazard with pedestrians and vehicles. Public Works was called out to respond with stop signs.

Foot Patrol – 2:22 a.m. – 4600 block of Cerritos Ave. – While on foot at the location, an officer observed the gates to the storage sheds located on the southeast portion of the park were wide open. Several of the roll up doors were open and property was strewn about. Numerous padlocks were cut and left on the ground.
Bike Stop – 11:30 p.m. – 5900 block of Corporate – From a bicycle stop, a male subject was arrested for possession of narcotics, paraphernalia and a switchblade.

Traffic Collision – 6:22 p.m. – Valley View/Lakeshore – From a call for service regarding a traffic collision, a male subject was arrested for DUI, possession of paraphernalia and being unlicensed.
Traffic Collision – 9:27 p.m. – Walker/Vonnie – Two vehicles collided into each other, sending one into a light pole and the other into a parked vehicle. Edison responded to deenergize the light pole, and Public Works was called out to remove the pole from the road. A male subject was arrested for being unlicensed.
May 15, 2022
Domestic Violence – 12:29 a.m. – 6100 block of Lincoln Ave. – The victim’s husband punched her in the stomach and broke the window to the room before leaving on foot.
Assault/Battery – 5:40 p.m. – 6300 block of Standford – A small scuffle between neighbors over a homeowners association meeting led an elderly neighbor pushing another neighbor. However, in doing so, the elderly neighbor fell against a wall and injured his head (laceration). As a precaution, he was transported to a hospital.
Incident Report – 11:21 p.m. – 9200 block of Valley View St. – A female reported that she received an email of an image of a subject holding a shotgun and a video of the exterior of Sandy Hook Elementary school. This occurred after an argument during their online class. Officers contacted both parties and determined there was no crime.
