May 16, 2022
Injury Report – 9:31 a.m. – Orange/Bloomfield – A 16-year-old student fell off her bike while riding to school, injuring her ankle.
Catalytic Converter Theft – 11:36 a.m. – 9000 block of Grindlay St. – Occurred at approximately 12:30 p.m. on Sunday, an unknown suspect stole the catalytic converter from the victim’s 2004 Toyota Sequoia

Suspicious Occupied Vehicle – 3:48 a.m. – 4400 block of Lincoln Ave. – From an occupied vehicle check, police contacted a male subject, who was found to have three outstanding warrants for his arrest. A records check of the vehicle returned stolen out of Buena Park. The subject was arrested for the warrants, being in possession of a stolen vehicle and being in possession of a controlled substance.
Mail Theft – 1:25 p.m. – 9000 block of Cobblestone – On Friday, 5/13/22, an unknown suspect stole the victim’s mail which contained a new credit card.

Pedestrian Check – 3:51 a.m. – Knott/Cerritos – From a pedestrian check, a male subject was arrested for possession of 10 grams of Fentanyl.
Hit and Run – 5:34 p.m. – Katella/Lexington – Officers were dispatched to possible hit and run that occurred on Valley View between Cerritos and Katella. A witness followed the vehicle to a motel on Katella where police contacted a male subject who was in the driver seat of his white pickup truck. Police arrived at the location and conducted a DUI investigation, and determined the subject was driving under the influence. The subject was arrested
for DUI.
May 19, 2022
Robbery – 8:31 a.m. – 5800 block of Lincoln Ave. – From a call for service of a robbery that had just occurred two subjects were determined to have stolen merchandise and pulled a razor blade on Loss Prevention. A third subject was waiting in a Black Cadillac sedan and all suspects fled the area in the vehicle. Officers located the vehicle on Orange Avenue, at Walker Street, and a pursuit was initiated after the suspect ran the red light at Lincoln Avenue northbound. The vehicle was pursued into the City of La Palma and officers lost sight of the vehicle at La Luna and Moody.
Disturbance (Subject) – 7:57 p.m. – 6800 block of Katella Ave. – From a disturbing subject call, a male subject was arrested for resisting arrest after he led an Officer on a brief foot pursuit across Knott.

Bike Stop – 1:45 a.m. – Ball/Walker – From a bicycle stop, a male subject was arrested for an outstanding warrant.
May 21, 2022
Assist Outside Agency – 4:08 a.m. – 4200 block of Green Ave. (Los Alamitos) – A neighbor observed two subjects breaking into a vehicle and then fleeing at a high rate of speed in a light-colored vehicle. Units went into pursuit of the suspect vehicle and eventually lost it in the area of the 22 Freeway near Beach Blvd. Officers in the area located the vehicle stopped in the road at Palomar and Garden Grove Blvd, in the City of Westminster, unoccupied. A perimeter was established and Officers went to assist. After an extensive search, the subjects were not located.
Reckless Driving – 10:19 p.m. – Moody/Lincoln – From a call for service regarding a vehicle driving on the sidewalk, a male subject was arrested for DUI after he struck a vehicle at the intersection.
May 22, 2022
Assault with a Deadly Weapon – 2:43 a.m. – 9100 block of Valley View St. – Security reported a large group of subjects in a disturbance with a male victim in the north end of the parking lot. As the victim fled the scene into a light-colored Honda, one of the suspects fired seven rounds toward the victim and the vehicle. The victim’s vehicle left southbound. The suspect left in a red truck. Seven casings were collected and no projectiles were located.
Domestic Violence – 5:56 a.m. – 8700 block of Walker St. – A male subject struck his live-in 22-year-old girlfriend on the head with a cellphone causing moderate swelling. The male was arrested for felony domestic violence. An Emergency Protection Order was obtained and served.
