March 28, 2022

Burglary – 4:52 a.m. – 10900 block of Meridian Dr. – Officers were dispatched to the listed location regarding a burglary alarm call for service. Upon arrival, officers discovered three separate businesses had been burglarized. An unknown suspect gained entry by smashing the glass doors. Loss was unknown at the time of this log.
Grand Theft from a Vehicle – 9:54 a.m. – 5600 block of Karen – At 4:16 a.m., a suspect was seen entering the victim’s unlocked work truck and stealing 2 iPhones, and miscellaneous items. The suspect was described as male, 30-39, 5’11”, thin, with a mustache, and wearing a black sweatshirt and black baggy pants.

March 29, 2022

Traffic Stop – 12:18 a.m. – Marion/Valley View – From a traffic stop, police arrested a male subject for possession of a loaded and concealed firearm.
Patrol Check – 9:24 a.m. – 8600 block of Watson – From a patrol check, a female subject was arrested for possession of fentanyl and possession of drug paraphernalia.

March 30, 2022

Arrest – 11:59 a.m. – 9000 block of Bloomfield – From a call for service, a male subject was arrested for a trespassing warrant.
Traffic Stop – 9:48 p.m. – Katella/Valley View – From a traffic stop, a subject was arrested for warrants out of Los Angeles County.

March 31, 2022

0023 hours – 68XX Katella – Arrest – From a pedestrian check, David Rand (DOB: 12-21-65)
was arrested for possession of paraphernalia.
Commercial Burglary – 7:36 a.m. – 9900 block of Walker St. – Overnight, an unknown suspect smashed the front glass door to the business and stole the cash register with $1000 cash.
Assault – 9:55 a.m. – 9000 block of Bloomfield – From a call for service of a possible stabbing, an
officer accepted a private persons arrests for four subjects for assault and battery.
Petty Theft – 8:43 p.m. – 6800 block of Katella Ave. – A male subject wearing a black hoodie and black sweats attempted to steal a $4000 bottle of alcohol; however, he stole the dummy bottle. He was last seen on foot.
Counterfeit Bill – 9:39 p.m. – 5600 block of Newman – A known suspect used a counterfeit $100 bill to pay for marijuana from a marijuana delivery service. Officers were unable to locate the suspect as he is a transient and living out of his vehicle.

April 1, 2022

Structure Fire – 10:26 a.m. – 10100 block of Bloomfield Ave. – Officers assisted OCFA with a minor
structure fire in the garage from a lit cigarette left in a trash can. OCFA handled and building inspector responded, marking the garage with a limited entry yellow tag. No crime.
Burglary Report – 3:20 p.m. – 6000 block of Lime Ave. – At approximately 2 p.m., two suspects in a dark gray Chrysler 300 stole a vacuum and sander from the victim’s vehicle parked inside the garage. A witness observed this incident and could see the male driver of the suspect vehicle stayed in the car while the passenger stole items and he had a revolver in his hand. However, the witness waited 1.5 hours to report the crime and could not provide a description other than male subjects.

April 2, 2022

Commercial Burglary – 2:30 a.m. – 10000 block of Valley View St. – At the time of the call, the alarm company reported interior motion and upon arrival, officers located a window smash to the front of the business. After viewing surveillance video, officers determined the suspect is a male Hispanic, wearing a black beanie, jeans, who entered the business at 2:19 a.m. and left out the back. The loss is $120 in cash.
Suspicious Circumstances – 4:54 a.m. – Orange/Moody – The reporting party said a male subject exited a vehicle and went into the construction site of the school district property. Officers set up a perimeter and searched the property. During the search they located a male subject. The investigation is still on going.
Arrest – 5:49 p.m. – 6000 block of Lincoln Ave. – Officers responded to the location regarding subjects stealing merchandise from storage bins outside the location and loading it into a waiting vehicle. Police arrived and arrested a female subject for grand theft after it was determined the loss totaled over $1,700. The three unidentified suspects fled in a silver Toyota Corolla prior to officers’ arrival. The female subject was transported and booked into Orange County Jail.

April 3, 2022

Stolen Vehicle – 5:05 p.m. – 4400 block of Avenida Grenada – The victim’s 2015 Toyota Prius was stolen by unknown suspects between 4-2-22 at 12 p.m., and today at 5 p.m. Officers located the vehicle unoccupied on Via Largo, north of Ball Rd. The vehicle was ransacked, with the loss being camping and nursing equipment valued at $1,100.
Arrest – 6:18 p.m. – 5400 block of Katella Ave. – Loss Prevention observed an employee steal a bottle of cognac. She was arrested for shoplifting and released on a citation.
