March 14, 2022

Burglary – 8:46 a.m. – 9100 block of Valley View St. – Sometime between 2/12/22 and today’s date, an unknown suspect stole approximately $6000 worth of clothing and artwork.
Arrest – 2:52 p.m. – 9800 block of Valley View St. – Officers were in the process of detaining two juvenile students for truancy/drug charges, when one of the students attempted to assault an officer. One student was arrested for resisting an officer, and the other student was arrested for resisting arrest and possession of marijuana. Both students were later released to parents.

March 15, 2022

Vandalism – 5:25 p.m. – 5600 block of Newman St. – At the time of call, the victim’s ex-boyfriend used a brick to break the victim’s car windows. The suspect fled in his vehicle. Total damage was estimated to be $1000.00.
Disturbance (Subject) – 5:40 p.m. – Cerritos/Valley View – From a call regarding a subject throwing personal items into the street, a male subject was arrested for a warrant.

March 16, 2022

Stolen Vehicle Investigation – 3:28 p.m. – 8400 block of Gay – Within two hours of the call, an unknown suspect stole the victim’s white 2015 Dodge Durango. The vehicle was entered into the Stolen Vehicle System; it was later recovered by the California Highway Patrol.
Disturbance – 10:47 p.m. – 5300 block of Yorkshire – While police were investigating a disturbance call at the location, it was found that the victim sustained visible injuries caused by his ex-girlfriend. Officers arrested the female subject for domestic violence.

March 17, 2022

Battery Report – 9:51 a.m. – 5800 block of Ball Rd. – From a road rage incident, the suspect pepper sprayed the victim and fled the scene. The suspect was described as a black female, 20-30 years old, in a silver Ford.
Traffic Collision – 10:32 p.m. – 8700 block of La Salle St. – From a call for service regarding a vehicle colliding into a parked car, a male subject was arrested for vandalism as he intentionally rammed an unoccupied parked vehicle.

March 18, 2022

Indecent Exposure – 6:41 p.m. – 4400 block of Casa Grande – From a call for service of a male subject exposing himself in the bushes, a male subject was arrested for indecent exposure.
Burglary – 11:44 a.m. – 4100 block of Elizabeth Ct. – Sometime overnight, an unknown suspect entered the victim’s unlocked vehicle and stole his wallet and garage door opener. Using the garage door opener, the suspect then ransacked the victim’s daughter’s vehicle inside the garage. The suspect stole the victim’s wallet, an electric bike and other miscellaneous personal items
Disturbance (Subjects) – 6:36 p.m. – 5800 block of Lincoln Ave. – From a call for service of two subjects creating a disturbance inside the store, officers arrived on scene and a short foot pursuit occurred. The subjects entered a vehicle and left eastbound on Lincoln. Additional officers arriving on scene were able to get behind the vehicle and initiate a felony car stop at the Mobil Gas station. A male subject was arrested for attempt shoplifting, resisting arrest and contributing to the delinquency of a minor.
Welfare Check – 8:38 p.m. – 9000 block of Moody St. – Officers were called for a welfare check of the
reporting party’s (RP) mother. The RP had not heard from her in a few days, and the locks had been changed on the residence. Once on scene, police contacted and arrested a male subject for domestic violence.
Robbery – 10:37 p.m. – 9600 block of Pauline – The RP advised an 18-year-old male subject with a stocky build and wearing a black hoodie and dark shorts used force to steal her iPhone 11.

March 20, 2022

Assist Outside Agency – 1:58 a.m. – 10800 block of Los Alamitos Blvd. (Los Alamitos) – Cypress officers assisted Los Alamitos Police with window smash at the business. No suspects were located.
Assault – 5:23 p.m. – 10100 block of Valley View St. – A male subject entered the business and attempted to make a food order, but did not have money. Once the manager refused service, the suspect jumped over the counter, punched the manager, and pushed him into a counter, causing a moderate injury to the victim’s face. Police arrested the male subject for felony assault causing great bodily injury and robbery.
