June 6, 2022

Commercial Burglary – 9:13 a.m. – 5300 block of Lincoln Ave. – Sometime over the weekend, an unknown suspect entered the business, possibly through an open rear window and stole 4 laptops and a safe with $6,000.
Vehicle Burglary – 12:29 p.m. – 4700 block of Larwin – Sometime between 10 p.m. on June 3 and 12 p.m. today, an unknown suspect was able to enter the locked vehicle via unknown means and stole keys, a driver’s license, work badge and paperwork.
Armed Robbery – 12:55 p.m. – 4500 block of Lincoln Ave. – Two male blacks dressed in black clothing with masks and gloves entered the business, robbed the clerk with the threat of a weapon. The loss was $500 cash from the register, 3 tablets, 3 phones. The suspects parked their silver Infinity with no plates on Rainier and fled to the 605 and were last seen northbound on the freeway.

June 7, 2022

Stolen Vehicle – 3:41 a.m. – 10200 block of Pimlico – Officers responded to the location regarding a vehicle theft that just occurred. The victim reported his white 2003 Chevy 2500 work truck was taken by an unknown suspect. The victim attempted to follow the suspect but lost sight of the vehicle in the area of Bloomfield and Ball.
Grand Theft – 8:13 a.m. – 6300 block of San Andres – Sometime overnight, an unknown suspect stole gardening equipment, kids toys and a cello, valued over $1000.

June 8, 2022

Indecent Exposure – 5:18 p.m. – Lincoln/Walker – A male subject driving a small white vehicle was reportedly masturbating when he stopped to ask the victim for directions to Disneyland. The subject fled the area and officers were unable to locate the subject, with no workable leads.
Recovered Stolen Vehicle – 9:29 p.m. – 5800 block of Katella Ave. – Dispatch advised of a silver 2019 Toyota Corolla stolen out of Culver City was last seen eastbound on Katella Avenue from Winners Circle. Police located the vehicle parked, unoccupied in a parking lot. Officers conducted surveillance on the vehicle for several hours in hopes that a suspect would return and were met with negative results. Police recovered the vehicle.

June 9, 2022

Catalytic Convertor Theft – 1:49 p.m. – 11600 block of Manila Drive – Sometime overnight, an unknown suspect stole the catalytic convertor from the victim’s Toyota Prius.
Disturbance (Family) – 2:18 p.m. – 6000 block of Cerritos Ave. – From a family disturbance call for service, a male subject was arrested for possession of a controlled substance and paraphernalia.

June 10, 2022

Assist Outside Agency – 1:54 a.m. – Los Alamitos – Cypress officers assisted Los Alamitos officers on a knock and talk at the location. Three subjects were arrested and a Cypress officer held the residence while a warrant was written until relieved by their dayshift.
Assist Outside Agency – 2:40 p.m. – Cerritos/Holder – Anaheim Police Department unmarked units requested assistance as they followed a stolen vehicle. Cypress officers conducted a high-risk traffic stop at Philo and Walker and three subjects were detained without incident. Anaheim PD handled the vehicle recovery and arrests.

June 11, 2022

Catalytic Converter Etching Event – 7:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. – CIB, in conjunction with SIU, Traffic, civilian staff, Explorers, Public Works, La Palma PD, and Russell’s Tow conducted an etching event in the Police Department parking lot. 341 cars were etched!
Search Warrant – 6:02 a.m. – 5600 block of Lincoln Ave. – While lawfully inside the hotel room on a medical aid call for service, Officers observed multiple gun magazines, a firearms case, and a bullet. After investigation, a male subject was arrested for felon in possession of ammunition.

June 12, 2022

Assist Outside Agency – 12:22 p.m. – Huntington Beach – A Police Service Dog responded to assist with a building search regarding a burglary suspect inside refusing to comply with commands. The suspect surrendered to the Police Service Dog and was taken into custody.
Pursuit – 4:49 p.m. – Carson/Norwalk – Whitier Police Department was investigating a stolen vehicle and tracked it to the area of Lincoln Plaza. Officer located the vehicle at Lincoln and Bloomfield. Once other units were present, attempted a traffic stop and the vehicle fled. A pursuit was initiated and the vehicle traveled northbound on the 605 freeway. Prior to it transitioning to the 91 freeway, the pursuit was cancelled. Officers were later notified the vehicle crashed at the interchange.
